Overview

In support of the ongoing operation and evolution of the CDIP platform, Mastercard is seeking a Lead Software Engineer to lead a team of developers, including both internal employees and Statement-of-Work contractors. This leader will oversee the deployment, operation, and continuous enhancement of the platform while ensuring alignment with organizational standards and data governance requirements.

The ideal candidates will help build and enhance a platform that leverages Databricks to ingest Recorded Future data, evaluate it alongside comparable Mastercard datasets to uncover synergies and actionable patterns, and ultimately enable a scalable pipeline for commercializing these insights within Mastercard products

Role

• Lead and mentor development teams in the day to day execution of CDIP build, deployment, and enhancement activities
• Collaborate closely with internal architecture and leadership teams to ensure developers clearly understand requirements, design intent, and recommended solution patterns
• Coordinate across internal and external partners to ensure full alignment with Mastercard policies, standards, and compliance expectations
• Proactively surface risks and blockers to leadership to maintain transparency and ensure timely resolution
• Drive engineering best practices, including code quality, testing standards, and operational excellence across the development lifecycle
• Support platform reliability and performance, including monitoring, incident response, and continuous improvement of operational processes
• Contribute to technical strategy, offering insights on tooling, automation, and architectural enhancements that strengthen the CDIP ecosystem

• Recognize resource gaps and propose sustainable, well reasoned solutions
• Maintain a solution oriented mindset, consistently seeking paths to resolve challenges
• Drive continuous improvement, advocating for best practices and elevating engineering standards

In line with Mastercard’s total compensation philosophy and assuming that the job will be performed in the US, the successful candidate will be offered a competitive base salary and may be eligible for an annual bonus or commissions depending on the role. The base salary offered may vary depending on multiple factors, including but not limited to location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Mastercard benefits for full time (and certain part time) employees generally include: insurance (including medical, prescription drug, dental, vision, disability, life insurance); flexible spending account and health savings account; paid leaves (including 16 weeks of new parent leave and up to 20 days of bereavement leave); 80 hours of Paid Sick and Safe Time, 25 days of vacation time and 5 personal days, pro-rated based on date of hire; 10 annual paid U.S. observed holidays; 401k with a best-in-class company match; deferred compensation for eligible roles; fitness reimbursement or on-site fitness facilities; eligibility for tuition reimbursement; and many more. Mastercard benefits for interns generally include: 56 hours of Paid Sick and Safe Time; jury duty leave; and on-site fitness facilities in some locations.
