About this Lead Product Manager, Airline eCommerce role at Sabre

Sabre · Onsite · India - Bangalore-Navigator Bldg

Powering the agentic revolution in travel. Sabre is an AI-native technology leader, backed by one of the world’s largest travel data clouds. Built on an open, modular, cloud-native architecture, Sabre serves as the backbone for both established leaders and bold, new disruptors, guiding them to the next age of travel retailing through intelligent, connected, and personalized experiences. With AI at its core and operating at unparalleled scale, Sabre transforms insights into innovation, empowering airlines, hoteliers, agencies and other partners to retail, distribute and fulfill travel worldwide.

We are seeking a Lead Product Manager, Airline eCommerce to join our global Digital Experience team, where innovation knows no borders. This team owns and scales white label airline ecommerce and post-booking servicing products for leading global airline partners, bridging complex backend capabilities with modern digital storefronts to deliver seamless traveler journeys. With an inclusive culture and flexible work environment, we work together with boldness, curiosity and commitment so we can all win together.

In this role, you will guide product capabilities at the intersection of technical strategy, hands-on rapid prototyping and enterprise customer delivery. You will operate independently to shape roadmap priorities while using modern web technologies and AI-assisted development tools to translate complex, ambiguous airline requirements into functional digital experiences. By validating concepts through working software early in the lifecycle, you will de-risk major engineering investments, accelerate decision-making and ensure Sabre delivers scalable airline retail solutions.

What you'll do

  • Own product capabilities from discovery through delivery, defining roadmaps, prioritization, functional requirements and measurable success metrics.
  • Partner directly with global airline customers, Sales and enterprise stakeholders to translate complex business needs into scalable digital product opportunities.
  • Balance customer demand, platform architecture and technical priorities to make disciplined product trade-offs.
  • Build working prototypes, proofs of concept (POCs) and interactive digital experiences rapidly from ambiguous concepts and opportunities.
  • Leverage AI-assisted development tools, modern web technologies, APIs and mock services to construct realistic end-to-end traveler experiences.
  • Validate technical and functional assumptions through prototypes to gather early feedback and de-risk core engineering investment.
  • Guide validated concepts into robust production solutions in close collaboration with Engineering, Architecture and UX teams.
  • Identify recurring patterns across airline partner requests to transform bespoke requirements into reusable platform capabilities.

What you'll bring

Required qualifications

  • Minimum 8 years of experience across technical product management, software engineering, solution engineering or related technical product roles.
  • Proven experience owning product capabilities and collaborating directly with enterprise customers and engineering teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to independently take an idea from initial concept to a functional, working digital product or prototype.
  • Hands-on experience developing web applications, interactive prototypes or technical proofs of concept.
  • Strong understanding of modern web architectures, REST APIs, JSON, authentication standards and system integrations.
  • Practical experience using AI-assisted development environments such as GitHub Copilot, Microsoft Copilot, v0, Replit or comparable tools to accelerate prototyping.
  • Strong product judgment and analytical capability to distinguish fundamental customer problems from proposed solutions.
  • Ability to navigate comfortably across customer discussions, product roadmaps, systems architecture and hands-on technical problem solving.
  • Excellent communication skills with proven ability to operate effectively in ambiguous environments.

Preferred qualifications

  • Demonstrated builder background, evidenced by independently shipping a commercial product, startup, open-source project, internal tool or application.
  • Hands-on technical familiarity with React, TypeScript, JavaScript or modern front-end web frameworks.
  • Domain knowledge of airline ecommerce, shopping, booking, servicing, payments, loyalty, passenger service systems (PSS), New Distribution Capability (NDC) or Offer & Order frameworks.
  • Strong UX instincts with the ability to design intuitive, high-quality digital experiences.

We will give careful consideration to your application and review your details against the position criteria. You will receive separate notification as your application progresses.
