Position Summary:

AXS is seeking a Lead Product Manager to define and execute the vision for our next-generation Commerce Platform, a foundational capability within our enterprise tooling that powers how products are defined, priced, taxed, settled, and presented across the AXS ecosystem.

This role owns the strategy, vision, and delivery of the Commerce Configuration Framework, which is a foundational platform that introduces modern, configurable commerce services for inventory definition, pricing composition, contractual revenue allocation, taxation, consumer price presentation, and financial governance.

Success in this role requires balancing platform modernization, regulatory compliance, financial integrity, operational scalability, and client flexibility while delivering reusable platform capabilities that support AXS' long-term global commerce strategy.

The ideal candidate combines exceptional product leadership with deep technical and business acumen. You are comfortable discussing APIs, configuration frameworks, financial systems, distributed services, pricing engines, taxation, settlement, and platform architecture with engineering teams while translating those concepts into scalable business capabilities.

You will partner closely with Engineering, Architecture, Finance, Client Operations, Ticketing Operations, and Executive Leadership to build one of the most strategic platform investments within our enterprise platform.

Essential Functions:

As a Lead Product Manager you will be accountable for:

  • Defining the long-term vision, roadmap, and product strategy for the Commerce Platform.
  • Establishing reusable commerce primitives supporting inventory definition, pricing composition, contractual revenue allocation, taxability, and consumer presentation.
  • Leading the modernization of legacy pricing and fee architectures into configurable platform services.
  • Driving platform capabilities including:
    • SKU Management
    • Pricing Composition
    • Revenue Attribution
    • Taxability Services partnering with 3rd party APIs
    • Governance and Configuration Frameworks
  • Partnering with Engineering and Architecture to define scalable service boundaries, APIs, data models, and platform extensibility.
  • Developing platform capabilities supporting global regulatory requirements, fee transparency, taxation models, and regional market differences.
  • Partnering with Finance and Settlement teams to improve financial transparency, reporting accuracy, and reconciliation.
  • Working closely with Client Operations and Ticketing Operations to reduce manual configuration effort and operational complexity.
  • Defining governance models, configuration guardrails, inheritance strategies, and reusable templates that improve consistency while maintaining client flexibility.
  • Drive migration strategy from legacy fee constructs to the modern commerce platform while minimizing operational disruption.
  • Define KPIs measuring adoption, operational efficiency, financial accuracy, configuration quality, and platform health.
  • Build alignment across Product, Engineering, Finance, Operations, Architecture, Compliance, and Executive Leadership.
  • Communicate roadmap, risks, dependencies, and strategic outcomes across technical and executive audiences.

We are looking for:

Required Qualifications

  • 7+ years of Product Management experience delivering complex software platforms in Agile environments.
  • Experience owning highly configurable platform products, enterprise software, or commerce platforms.
  • Demonstrated success defining products that span multiple engineering teams and organizational domains.

  • Experience partnering closely with engineering teams building APIs, configuration platforms, distributed systems, or platform infrastructure.
  • Experience modernizing legacy systems while balancing operational continuity and long-term platform evolution.
  • Strong systems-thinking mindset capable of connecting customer workflows, financial processes, technical architecture, and operational execution.
  • Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders without direct authority.
  • Excellent communication and executive presentation skills.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience using quantitative and qualitative data to guide product strategy.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience building configurable commerce, payments, pricing, taxation, ERP, or financial platform products.

  • Experience designing platform governance, inheritance models, or configurable business rules engines.
