We are looking for Electrical Engineers with Infrastructure design (EHV/MV/LV) and dry utility design experience to undertake engineering design roles for projects in the Middle East. The candidate shall have experience in Dry utilities network design such as HV, MV, LV, Street lighting and Telecom. This is a great opportunity for a suitably qualified person with an engineering consultancy or energy sector background to gain further experience within an internationally renowned consultancy.
This position is for the Networks team within the Infrastructure vertical at Cairo Egypt

Your role
Roles
· To lead and deliver multidisciplinary Dry Utilities design solutions in compliance with project requirements, client expectations, authority regulations, and international engineering standards.
· The role requires providing technical leadership, design management, project coordination, and quality assurance throughout all project phases while supporting business growth and client engagement.
· Qualifications & Experience
· Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering.
· Minimum 15+ years of experience in Dry Utilities design and engineering, including Power Distribution, Street Lighting, and Telecommunications networks.
· Membership of a recognized professional institution (e.g., IET) with Chartered Engineer status or actively working towards accreditation.
· Strong knowledge of Middle East utility standards, authority requirements, and industry best practices.
Key Responsibilities
· Lead the preparation, review, and approval of design documentation including Basis of Design Reports, Design Reports, Design Specifications, Technical Studies, and Design Calculations.
· Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineering teams, ensuring delivery of high-quality and compliant designs.
· Manage the design and coordination of Power Distribution, Street Lighting, and Fixed/GSM Telecommunications networks.
· Oversee street lighting calculations, feeder pillar location planning, cable sizing, voltage drop analysis, and LV cable scheduling.
· Lead telecom network planning, cable routing, and identification of key infrastructure elements such as Telecom Exchange Rooms, Meet-Me Rooms, and Junction Boxes.
· Review and approve technical specifications, standard details, and construction drawings for Dry Utilities infrastructure.
· Coordinate multidisciplinary design interfaces and lead utility clash detection and resolution activities.
· Direct Utility Corridor planning and optimization in coordination with project stakeholders.
· Ensure compliance with applicable electrical codes, standards, client requirements, and local authority regulations.
· Manage client, authority, and stakeholder engagement throughout project development and approval processes.
· Lead project planning, resource allocation, workload management, and design delivery to meet project objectives.
· Support proposal preparation, technical bids, and business development initiatives.
· Participate in value engineering exercises and provide innovative, cost-effective design solutions.
· Contribute to the development of company standards, best practices, and quality management procedures.
· Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, authorities, and key project stakeholders.
· Support project managers in commercial, technical, and risk management activities.
· Perform technical reviews and act as a Discipline Lead, Design Manager, or Technical Authority as required.
