ABOUT THE ROLE:
The Lead Café Attendant is responsible for overseeing communication with callers and visitors in a professional, friendly, and efficient manner. They must comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards and must also maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers. They will follow all standard policies and procedures within their assigned department.
WORK SCHEDULE: Tuesday - Saturday / 9:00am - 5:30pm (Opening/Mid)
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
- Assist in scheduling and confirming staff needs.
- Assist management with keeping crew on task /breaks and lunches while also taking yours to ensure coverage.
- Answer customer catering phone calls/leads and confirm orders for catering with customers.
- Address customers and work with management to correct any mistakes by staff, issue correction /voids for workers after evaluation of reasons.
- Keep recipe binder organized and complete, making sure all workers are following guidelines.
- Assist management with Inventory and supplies needed by filling out reports and comparing invoices for correct billing.
- Works directly with Management on training staff
- Assist with the creative development of new sales products such as drink specials, and desserts.
- Menu planning, Cash handling/ training, monitor health inspection readiness at all times.
- Works with management on online correspondence planning /pertaining catering /VIP orders.
- Keep up with Attendant responsibilities.
- Responsible for opening/closing Café in managers absence
- Other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS:
- High School Diploma or equivalent,
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in kitchen preparation and cooking
- Some culinary school experience a plus
- Must have up to date ServSafe Certificate
$19.00 - $19.45/HOUR
