You will be a key member of a dynamic and innovative group of lawyers, paraprofessionals and legal support staff, providing the highest level of service to our clients, while having the opportunity to cultivate your skills as part of our successful national Litigation team, within Canada’s premier full-service law firm.

Key Responsibilities and Skills
Right from the start you will:
- Play a key role in high-profile disputes including matters before the Supreme Court of Canada, while supporting a diverse range of complex commercial and civil litigation matters.
- Drive litigation files forward by delivering high-quality drafting, managing discovery, coordinating with clients, counsel and experts, and advancing complex matters through all stages of proceedings
- Draft and manage a wide range of substantive litigation materials, including pleadings, motions, mediation briefs, affidavits of documents, undertakings, document briefs, and cost outlines.
- Take ownership of matter management responsibilities, including file organization, electronic document management, data management, scoping, budgeting, client reporting, and overall coordination of complex litigation files.
- Collaborate and contribute as an important member of the team and provide unwavering commitment to excellent client service
- Work as member of a collaborative team to mentor and share your knowledge with students, associates and junior law clerks

Key Competencies
What you will bring to this role:
- 3+ years’ of relevant working experience as a law clerk with a focus on commercial litigation
- Strong knowledge and understanding of the Rules of Civil Procedure
- Knowledge of procedures before the Supreme Court of Canada and the Supreme Court of Canada Act, the Rules of the Supreme Court of Canada, and the Guidelines for Preparing Documents to be Filed with the Supreme Court of Canada is an asset
- College Law Clerk Diploma or Institute of Law Clerks Ontario Certificate
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent ability to take direction and work independently
- Knowledge of iManage, ACL, CaseLines, Relativity, Kofax Power PDF, Word, Excel, and Outlook
- A team player with a strong work ethic and a desire for continuous improvement
