The Lab Foreman supervises the lab functions and staff during shift at the factory. They will perform Lab Benchperson duties as needed.

Principle accountabilities include but are not limited to:

• Analyzes and performs routine analysis and special tests as required by the Factory Chemist and others.

• Trouble shoots problems if errors or questions arise in the analyses.

• Responsible for sugar and by-product analyses, reporting of results and maintaining accurate records.  Also responsible for ensuring routine solutions are correctly prepared and standardized.

• Assists factory operations in analyzing and troubleshooting process problems.

Job Requirements:

• High School diploma or a GED certificate is required.

• One Year of general college chemistry

• Individuals are required to take a Mechanical Aptitude Test and Basic Skills Test to verify basic skills and knowledge.          

• Able to read, write and communicate effectively.

• Must have a valid driver’s license.
