About the opportunity

We are looking for a Specialist in Know-Your-Business (KYB) to join our growing team. In this role, you will support functioning of key due diligence processes for corporate legal entities and Treasury counterparties, ensuring optimal risk governance and seamless operational support for our Treasury Front Office.

In KYB, our goal is to foster a culture of compliance within N26 that is trusted by authorities, institutional counterparties, and shareholders. For that purpose, developing your knowledge in corporate ownership mapping, UBO verification, Ongoing Due Diligence (ODD), Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD), High-Risk Customers (HRC), and Politically Exposed Persons (PEP) will be key to your success in this position.

The Specialist role focuses on operational support, executing basic-to-intermediate corporate KYB reviews, and processing Treasury Due Diligence cases. Through structured training and continuous learning, the Specialist will become a key contributor to N26's regulatory compliance and day-to-day operations.

In Your Next Challenge, You Will:

• Learn and apply fundamental knowledge of regulatory requirements (GwG, KWG) and standard procedures related to KYB, TSY DD, EDD, and ODD processes.
• Apply your experience with due diligence processes related to High-Risk Customers (HRC) and Politically Exposed Persons (PEP).
• Correctly apply established policies in each case assessment, maintaining a clear understanding of compliance requirements to ensure quality work.
• Contribute to the maintenance of the Service Level Agreement (SLA): Efficiently manage assigned cases, ensuring deadlines are met.
• Showcase proficiency in using KYB tools and platforms (Salesforce, Dow Jones, Factiva, Handelsregister, Transparenzregister) for efficient processing and management of complex corporate cases
• Demonstrate your analytical and investigative skills to assess and mitigate risks associated with High Risk customer profiles.
• Showcase your ability to interpret and analyse financial statements, transactions, and other relevant data to make informed decisions.
• Conduct thorough and accurate assessments, identifying risks and relevant documentation.
• Demonstrate a high level of Problem-Solving skills, continuously proving the ability to identify and solve problems independently.
• Demonstrate effective team collaboration, working closely with peers in a multicultural and fast-paced environment.
• Foster open dialogue within the team and share key case findings. Actively seek help and feedback for professional growth.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders (such as Treasury Front Office, MLRO, Sanctions, and Customer Support) to resolve questions quickly and effectively.
• Adapt quickly to process changes and maintain a positive attitude. Actively participate in the adoption of new guidelines and tools.
• Be exposed to a fast-paced environment, demonstrating openness to learning and incorporating new methodologies and technologies into the KYC workflow.
• Participate in team projects and complete assigned operational tasks accurately.
• Embrace our Customer-Centric Approach, focusing on enhancing the user experience for our customers undergoing the KYC process, balancing compliance requirements with a seamless and user-friendly approach.
  

What You’ll Need to Be Successful

Background:

• Foundational experience in KYB, Corporate Due Diligence, or general KYC operations.
• Proven track record of managing and resolving KYC cases efficiently.
• Previous experience in similar fast-paced Finance and Banking companies is desired.

Skills:

• 1-3 years of experience in KYB, KYC, or AFC Operations.
• Knowledge of banking regulations.
• C1 level English language proficiency (both writing and speaking) and having German language proficiency is a big plus.
