Summary: We are seeking an experienced Knowledge Management Architect who will develop the infrastructure and processes necessary to capture, share, and utilize organizational knowledge gained through successful system interventions. The role involves overseeing the identification of critical knowledge, its usage, availability, and aligning it with the needs of various business groups. The ideal candidate will facilitate the development of knowledge architecture and standards, partnering with operations staff to ensure the delivery of knowledge and information to appropriate groups.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement infrastructure and processes to capture and share organizational knowledge.
- Oversee the identification and utilization of critical knowledge across business groups.
- Model information sources, flows, and critical paths to understand how information is transformed into knowledge.
- Facilitate the development of supporting knowledge architecture and standards.
- Define an operational framework to implement delivery systems, systems management, and security frameworks.
- Collaborate with IT groups to ensure cohesive cross-functional decision-making.
- Provide leadership in making complex IT and business decisions.
- Coach and mentor junior technical staff, acting as a subject matter expert on high-complexity projects.
Required Skills:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
- A minimum of 7 years of IT and business/industry work experience.
- Expertise in process and data modeling, architectural development methodologies, and IT planning methodologies.
- Strong knowledge of document management, groupware, relational database systems, data warehouse, and data mining.
- Experience in web and systems analysis/development.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to gain credibility with business leaders and stakeholders.
- Ability to work on high-complexity projects and make informed decisions across multiple technical areas and business segments.
