Summary of Role:

GlobalFoundries is looking for a Technician for the Kitting & Parts Clean area.

This role requires strong technical ability.  Technicians must be able to perform parts cleaning duties, rebuild assemblies to the component level, follow standard work procedures, follow all safety guidelines and all quality controls. 

Essential Responsibilities:

• Executing in person and online training activities
• Perform preventive maintenance on area equipment
• Complete all required reporting and documentation
• Cleaning tool parts to specification, using various techniques
• Repairing tool parts - deconstructing and reconstructing as necessary

Other Responsibilities:

• Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs
• Other duties as assigned by manager / supervisor

Required Qualifications: 

• Education – High School Diploma or GED, or equivalent
• Experience - Mechanical Experience, demonstrated technical aptitude
• Fluency in English Language - both Written & Verbal
• Physical Capacity Demands - 12-hour Alternate Workday Schedule, and able to lift a minimum of 30 pounds on a periodic basis throughout the shift
• Ability to wear all required protective clothing and equipment, including cleanroom suit per needs of cleanroom requirements
• Ability to work with semi-conductor cleaning chemicals
• Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
• Ability to perform work to defined specifications
• Ability to prioritize activities in a fast-paced environment
• Strong team member, able to work well with a global team

Preferred Qualifications:

• Proficiency with computer systems and software applications such as Microsoft Office
• Education - associate's degree, or higher degree, in related engineering field (Electrical Engineering / Mechanical Engineering / Electronics Technology, etc.)
• Prior Semiconductor manufacturing experience, or experience in an industrial manufacturing setting
