About this Junior Project Manager SEAPAC role at Rhenus

Rhenus · Onsite · Bangkok, Thailand

What You Can Expect:

Take ownership of assigned RFQ coordination, vendor follow-up, bid preparation and project handovers across SEAPAC. The role releases senior capacity for solution development, technical oversight and country capability building while maintaining reliable project control and developing practical project-management skills.

  • Maintain complete RFQ files, owners and deadlines. Obtain missing cargo, scope, Incoterms and schedule information; escalate gaps that affect quotation or execution.
  • Coordinate vendor enquiries under the Procurement SOP. Follow up responses and prepare comparable offers showing scope, exclusions, validity and required vendor documentation.
  • Prepare draft cost calculations and quotation inputs. Record assumptions, onboarding status and required approvals, including specialist reviews, for checking before release.
  • Prepare handover packs covering approved scope and rates, responsibilities, milestones, customer commitments and material risks. Confirm acceptance by the designated country execution owner.
  • Track readiness, actions and milestones with country teams. Escalate changes, delays and additional costs; consolidate cost, revenue and completion records and flag deviations from expected GP.
  • Maintain shared files, vendor records and lessons learned. Join customer calls and supervised site work as assigned, follow site safety requirements and escalate unsafe conditions.

What You Bring:

  • Practical experience in freight forwarding, transport or industrial logistics, ideally two to five years.
  • Able to manage concurrent deadlines, obtain complete information and escalate issues with clear facts. Working understanding of transport scopes, Incoterms, vendor comparisons, and cost calculations.
  • Strong Excel skills, commercial numeracy and accurate document management. Confident using shared files and collaboration tools; use approved digital tools to improve routine workflows.
  • Strong written and spoken English and effective cross-country communication. Based in, or willing to relocate to, Bangkok under local employment terms; available for domestic and international project travel.
  • Relevant degree or equivalent practical experience. Project cargo, OOG, breakbulk and site exposure are advantages; strong logistics operators developing into Projects will also be considered.
