In the Philippines, New Energy Nexus has been supporting the growth of the clean energy ecosystem since 2019 through entrepreneurship, partnerships, and workforce development initiatives.

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Junior Program Associate provides coordination, administrative, and operational support across New Energy Nexus Philippines (NEX PH) programs and activities. The role works closely with program teams to help ensure that activities are well-organized, participants and stakeholders are properly supported, and program records and documentation are maintained accurately and on time.

The role supports different NEX PH programs depending on organizational needs and is suited for someone who is organized, responsive, adaptable, and comfortable working with different teams and stakeholders.


ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Program and Activity Coordination:

  • Provide administrative, logistical, and operational support for online and in-person program activities.
  • Coordinate with participants, partners, speakers, consultants, service providers, and other stakeholders to support the smooth implementation of program activities.
  • Assist with participant registration, scheduling, attendance, requirements, materials, and other activity logistics.
  • Support program communications, including announcements, invitations, reminders, follow-ups, and routine stakeholder inquiries.
  • Assist program teams before, during, and after activities, including online and on-site event support.
  • Maintain accurate program and participant records and assist with activity documentation, reports, meeting notes, and other required materials.

Cross-Program and Team Support:

  • Provide administrative and coordination support across different NEX Philippines programs based on organizational priorities and program needs.
  • Support program teams during periods of increased activity, including program launches, campaigns, consultations, events, and other key activities.
  • Assist with activities that involve multiple NEX Philippines programs, teams, or shared stakeholders to help ensure smooth coordination and timely follow-through.
  • Help organize and maintain shared program documents, templates, forms, presentations, and other administrative materials.
  • Provide additional coordination and operational support to program teams as needed to support the effective implementation of NEX Philippines programs and activities.
  • Perform other related duties that may be assigned in support of NEX Philippines programs and organizational priorities.

The position will be full time and mostly virtual with occasional domestic travel for physical events.

Requirements

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant experience
  • At least 1 year of relevant experience in program coordination, project administration, event coordination, community engagement, stakeholder support, or a related role. Fresh graduates with relevant internship or volunteer experience may also be considered.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks, schedules, and deadlines.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills in English, Tagalog and Cebuano.
  • Comfortable coordinating with different types of stakeholders, including participants, partners, speakers, consultants, service providers, and colleagues.
  • Proficient in common productivity and collaboration tools such as Google Workspace or Microsoft Office.
  • Comfortable using online communication and meeting platforms such as Zoom, Google Meet, Messenger, or similar tools.
  • Able to work independently while collaborating effectively with different program teams.
  • Willing to attend occasional in-person activities and events as part of a hybrid work arrangement.
  • Base location is either in Visayas or Mindanao 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience supporting programs, projects, events, community activities, or stakeholder engagement initiatives.
  • Experience working with nonprofit organizations, development organizations, social enterprises, startups, or other mission-driven organizations.
  • Experience working across multiple programs, projects, or teams.
  • Experience coordinating with external partners, speakers, consultants, service providers, or other stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with project management, CRM, database, registration, or other program management tools.
  • Experience preparing reports, presentations, meeting documentation, event materials, or communications materials.
  • Interest in renewable energy, climate action, entrepreneurship, innovation, workforce development, or related areas aligned with NEX Philippines' work.
  • Experience working in a hybrid or remote environment.
