ICT Graduate: Junior Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) Analyst

As an ICT Cadet specialising in GRC, you’ll support the processes that identify risks, maintain evidence, assess obligations and improve the way cyber security controls are managed across environments which Australian Government clients depend on.

The opportunity

We're looking for students who are currently studying a degree or diploma in Cyber Security, Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, Business Information Systems, Risk Management or a related discipline.

This is a part-time cadetship position designed on a maximum term contract, aimed to fit around your studies, giving you the opportunity to earn while you learn and gain valuable industry experience.

You'll be supported by experienced mentors, encouraged to ask questions, and given meaningful work that builds your understanding of ICT governance, risk, compliance, assurance and security operations.

About You

Working within an ICT governance, risk and compliance environment, you'll:

• Assist with the collection, review and maintenance of cyber security governance evidence.
• Support risk assessments by helping document risks, controls, treatment actions and follow-up activities.
• Contribute to reporting and prepare material for internal and external audits.
• Help maintain policies, standards, procedures, registers and other governance documentation.
• Assist with tracking remediation actions, exceptions, review dates and governance artefact updates.
• Collaborate with cyber security, service delivery, engineering and business stakeholders to support better risk-informed decision making.

You'll be someone who:

• Is an Australian citizen in order to obtain and maintain a National Security Clearance.
• Is currently studying a degree or diploma in a relevant field.

• Enjoys understanding how technology, security controls, processes and people fit together.
• Has strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with the confidence to ask questions and investigate detail.
• Has strong attention to detail and takes care when working with evidence, documentation and reporting.
• Communicates clearly and works well with others.
• Is interested in governance frameworks, cyber security standards, audit, assurance, risk management or compliance.
• Is curious, reliable and eager to keep learning.
• Takes pride in producing quality work.

Security requirements

Due to the nature of our work with Australian Government clients, applicants must be Australian Citizens at the time of application and be willing and eligible to obtain and maintain an Australian Government security clearance. (A coordinated National Police Check and an active NV1 Security Clearance is required to work with this client).
