About the Role

We are seeking a Junior Fullstack Developer (Python) to join our Admission & Marketplace team. You’ll contribute to meaningful projects while learning modern development practices, tools, and workflows, and be supported by mentors who will help you develop both your technical abilities and professional skills. The Admission & Marketplace initiative in AlayaCare Cloud streamlines referrals, intake coordination, and care planning while enabling providers to collaborate across agencies. By eliminating manual processes like phone calls and faxes, and by empowering agencies to subcontract efficiently, these tools accelerate scheduling, strengthen partnerships, and improve outcomes for businesses, care workers, and clients.

On the Client Intake front, help transform how home care referrals are received, processed, and coordinated through completely rebuilt intake workflow built around agentic capabilities. Streamline intake operations, reduce manual work, and help agencies move clients into care faster, improving efficiency for care teams and outcomes for clients.

With the Marketplace offering, extend the future of collaboration between care providers. Work on a new Supplier Portal project that simplifies provider onboarding, profile management, and connections between agencies with care needs and available capacity. Unlock new markets, reduce administrative effort, and strengthen partnerships across the home care ecosystem.

What You’ll Do

• Assist in designing, coding, testing, and debugging software features.
• Use GenAI tools to help plan, generate, and test code.
• Pair-program with senior developers and participate in code reviews to learn best practices.
• Write and maintain automated tests with guidance from team members.
• Help investigate, reproduce, and resolve bugs under supervision.
• Participate in team rituals such as standups, demos, and retrospectives.
• Learn and apply modern development practices, including implementing with AI, CI/CD, containerization, and monitoring.

What You Bring to the Team

• Bachelor’s or advanced degree in computer engineering, science, or any related fields.
• 1-2 years+ professional software engineering experience.
• Familiarity with at least one programming language (e.g., Python, TypeScript, JavaScript, or similar).
• Demonstrated interest in AI tools, with a proactive mindset toward integrating them into day-to-day work to drive efficiency and innovation.
• Interest in learning development tools and workflows such as Git, CI/CD pipelines, and Docker.
• Curiosity about current industry trends in technology, performance, and software development practices.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with both technical and non-technical teammates.
• Interest in developing yourself as a full stack developer, implementing both Front-End and Back-End code.
• Bilingual in French and English is considered an asset.

Location and Work Model

This role is based in Montreal. At AlayaCare, our hybrid model includes 2 set in-office collaboration days/week, and it is expected that team members are present in the office on those days to foster connection, innovation, and teamwork.
