Gritter Francona is looking for a Junior DevSecOps Engineer to provide comprehensive engineering and sustainment support for U.S. Customs and Border Protections' cloud environments, ensuring optimal coverage, performance, and adherence to security standards and best practices.

The DevSecOps Engineer integrates security throughout the software development and operations lifecycle, implementing security automation, testing, and monitoring in DevOps processes.

Develop security controls for CI/CD pipelines, manages security scanning tools, and collaborates with development and operations teams to embed security practices.
Implement infrastructure as code security, container security, and cloud security controls supporting secure and efficient software delivery.
Support security incident response in development and production environments while contributing to DevSecOps strategy and continuous improvement of security integration in development and operations workflows.

Requirements

At least 1 year of related experience
Ability to obtain a government clearance
Ability to work on-site in Ashburn, VA area

Cory Gritter (Founder and CEO), a United States Marine Corps (USMC) veteran, was severely wounded while conducting combat operations in Afghanistan as a scout sniper. During his multi-year recovery at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, Gritter joined the Wounded Warrior Mentoring Program (WWMP), where he was mentored by Carl Salzano, who was then an executive with Booz Allen Hamilton, and a US Navy veteran himself. After Cory completed internships with Network and Security Operation Centers for both commercial and government clients, he founded Gritter Francona in January 2013 on the premise that significant opportunity exists to harness the unique and diverse skills possessed by Veterans. Today, Gritter Francona employs over 100 staff across a portfolio of contracts that is singularly focused on making our clients successful through creative and innovative services that meet current goals while anticipating future needs.
