SLB Capturi is one of the leading companies globally that has extensive knowledge of the entire CCUS value chain. We have many ongoing projects, from research and innovation, including pilot plant testing, to concept studies and to large EPC projects, both in Europe and in the United States. Today, we are delivering seven carbon capture units in Europe, with an accumulated capture capacity of 1 million tonnes of CO2. In Denmark, we are delivering five Just Catch 100 units to Ørsted, in the Netherlands one Just Catch 100 unit to Twence, and in Norway a Big Catch to Heidelberg Materials.
What will you be doing?
The Junior Cost Estimator & Data Analyst role supports the continuous development and improvement of the company's cost estimation processes, tools, and databases. The position combines cost estimation with data analysis, ensuring that historical and market data are effectively collected, maintained, analyzed, and utilized to improve estimating accuracy and support informed business decisions.
Your Responsibilities
Cost Estimation
- Prepare cost estimates for studies, projects, tenders in accordance with company standards and procedures.
- Collect, analyze, and validate relevant cost information from internal and external sources.
- Assist in developing estimate structures, pricing methodologies, and cost breakdowns.
- Evaluate quotations from suppliers, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders.
- Participate in tender reviews, cost benchmarking, and lessons learned activities.
- Maintain estimating databases, cost libraries, and historical cost records.
Data Management and Analytics
- Collect, organize, validate, and maintain historical cost data and project performance data.
- Develop and continuously improve the Cost Estimation Database.
- Analyze cost trends, productivity data, market indices, and project performance metrics.
- Ensure data quality, consistency, and traceability across estimating databases and tools.
- Monitor market trends, labor rates, material costs, and supplier pricing.
Continuous Improvement
- Contribute to the development and improvement of estimating tools, methodologies, and processes.
- Capture lessons learned from completed projects and incorporate findings into future estimates.
Your qualifications
- 0 - 3 years of experience or demonstrated understanding in cost estimation, project controls, commercial management, data analytics, and technical disciplines.
- Basic understanding of project execution, procurement processes, budgeting, forecasting, and cost management principles.
- Supporting tender submissions, commercial evaluations, and project budgeting activities.
- Strong understanding of cost estimating processes, methodologies, and best practices.
- Advanced numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of products, equipment, and manufacturing cost structures.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Good understanding of project lifecycle stages and project execution models.
- Experience with estimating software, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office applications.
- Knowledge of procurement processes, contract structures, and commercial evaluations.
- Good understanding of technical aspects and engineering processes
Educational Background:
- Bachelor's degree or higher, in Engineering, Economics, Data Analytics, or a related field is preferred.
- Relevant professional certifications within estimating, project controls, or commercial management are considered an advantage.

This role provides a strong foundation for future development within Cost Estimation, Project Controls, Commercial Management, Data Analytics, and Project Management disciplines. Candidates will gain hands-on experience from major projects while developing expertise in digital tools, cost estimating, engineering, and business analytics.
