At Uni Systems, we are working towards turning digital visions into reality. We are continuously growing and we are looking for a professional Java Developer to join our UniQue Luxembourg team.
What will you be bringing to the team?
- Migrate and rewrite aGWT (Google Web Toolkit) application to the latest version of Angular, ensuring a smooth transition, performance optimisation, and adherence to best practices.
- Analyse requirements and work with analysts to clarify functional specifications.
- Develop technical specifications in line with technical standards and quality requirements.
- Participate in functional working groups and progress meetings.
- Develop unit and integration tests, including test suites, plans and programs.
- Prepare technical and user documentation.
- Assist with system deployment and configuration.
- Provide application support and investigate issues, including3rd-level support.
- Participate in Agile/Scrum activities and collaborate with international and multicultural teams.
Requirements
What do you need to succeed in this position?
- Bachelor’s degree preferably in Computer Science or Software Engineering and 8+ years of professional experience in software development.
- Strong experience in Java/J2EE (7/8/11) and enterprise application development.
- Strong knowledge of JPA and caching mechanisms.
- Strong knowledge of the Java enterprise stack, including:
- Angular
- GWT
- Spring Boot
- Spring MVC
- Spring JMS
- Good knowledge of Oracle 11g/18 and relational databases.
- Experience with software development lifecycle and methodologies used in large-scale organizations.
- Knowledge of software design patterns and UML.
- Experience developing large-scale Web 2.0 applications using J2EE technologies is an advantage.
- Experience with Agile/Scrum; knowledge of PMBOK or PRINCE2 is an advantage.
- Strong communication, coordination, analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience in IT projects in the translation field is an advantage.
- Good knowledge of English and/or French; knowledge of another EU language is an advantage.
- Experience working with European Institutions is an advantage.
