OVERVIEW:  

 

At Alo, our focus is on our associate culture, customer promise, quality and safety. The Inventory Control Manager is responsible for leading all inventory accuracy, compliance reconciliation, audit, and governance activities within the distribution center. This role serves as the site authority for inventory integrity and is accountable for maintaining accurate inventory records, executing inventory control programs, ensuring compliance with company policies, and supporting operational excellence through data-driven inventory management.  

The Inventory Control Manager partners closely with Operations, Finance, Engineering, Systems, Quality, and 3PL partners to identify inventory risks, investigate discrepancies, implement corrective actions, and maintain audit readiness. 

This position is responsible for protecting company assets while ensuring inventory records accurately reflect physical inventory at all times.   

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:  

  • Own inventory accuracy, inventory integrity, and inventory compliance performance for the distribution center.  
  • Lead and develop the Inventory Control team while establishing a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.  
  • Manage inventory governance programs including cycle counting, physical inventories, inventory reconciliation, inventory adjustments, and audit readiness activities.  
  • Ensure compliance with inventory policies, standard operating procedures, internal controls, and company governance requirements.  
  • Identify inventory risks, investigate discrepancies, and drive root cause analysis and corrective action initiatives to improve inventory performance.  
  • Monitor inventory health, inventory accuracy, financial exposure, and key performance indicators while providing regular reporting to site and corporate leadership.   
  • Partner with Operations, Finance, Systems, Engineering, Quality, and 3PL partners to support inventory integrity and operational performance.  
  • Support network initiatives, process improvements, system implementations, and operational changes impacting inventory management.   
  • Serve as the site subject matter expert and primary escalation point for inventory-related issues, risks, and compliance concerns.   

 

QUALIFCATIONS: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, business administration, logistics, industrial engineering, or related field preferred.  
  • APICS CPIM, CSCP, Lean Six Sigma Certification preferred  
  • 5+ years of experience in inventory management or supply chain operations, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.  
  • Experience supporting automation and robotics environments.  
  • Strong knowledge of inventory control procedures and best practices.   
  • Proficiency in WMS and ERP systems.  
  • Microsoft Suite (Excel, Word, PPT, etc.)  
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.  
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with internal teams, external partners, and suppliers.  
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions to optimize operations.  
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and develop cross-functional teams   
  • Bi-lingual preferred  
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds 
  • Able to stand and walk around for up to 12 hours at a time   
  • Ability to handle various tools
