We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented intern to support the Group Sustainability Team in Bangkok, Thailand, for a 6-month internship from January to June 2027. This role provides a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the two core pillars of modern corporate sustainability:

• Technical Data Assurance: The verification of our global greenhouse gas (GHG) inventory.
• Corporate Reporting: The preparation of our annual ESG (Environmental, Social, Governance) report.

Throughout the internship, you will support the team in ensuring the quality, accuracy, and transparency of Rhenus’ sustainability data and disclosures. Working alongside experienced sustainability professionals, you will contribute to global GHG verification and ESG reporting activities while developing practical skills in sustainability data management, assurance, and stakeholder engagement.

You will be contributing by…

• Supporting GHG Verification (ISO 14064-1)
  • Data Review & Analysis: Assist in compiling, validating, and analyzing large sustainability datasets. Review supporting evidence, identify data anomalies, assess year-on-year variances, and investigate unusual trends and discrepancies.
  • Audit Support: Support internal and external verification activities by comparing reported environmental data against supporting documentation, documenting findings, maintaining review trackers, and following up on remediation actions.
  • Audit Preparation & Documentation: Organize and maintain audit documentation, evidence repositories, and supporting materials to ensure audit readiness.
  • Stakeholder Coordination & Follow-Up: Coordinate with business units and locations globally to obtain clarifications, supporting documentation, and corrective actions related to sustainability data submissions.
• Assisting in ESG Report Preparation
  • Data Collection: Assist in gathering quantitative and qualitative data across all three pillars (Environmental, Social, and Governance) for the annual ESG report.
  • Content Support & Fact-Checking: Support the team by fact-checking data points, cross-referencing information, and helping to verify narratives used in the report.
  • ESG Reporting Coordination: Help coordinate with internal departments to collect information, supporting evidence, and inputs required for ESG disclosures.
  • General Support: Perform administrative and analytical support tasks as required, including maintaining audit trackers, organizing evidence repositories, preparing management summaries, and conducting ad hoc sustainability data analysis.

• Open to final-year university students seeking an internship or recent graduates looking for a temporary role.
• Students or recent graduates in Sustainability, Environmental Science, Engineering, Data Analytics, Business Analytics, Accounting, Finance, or related disciplines.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work confidently with data and identify patterns, trends, or inconsistencies.
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and willingness to learn new data management and reporting tools.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues across different countries and functions.
• Well-organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
