What You Do
Your responsibilities will include:
Support enterprise data engineering initiatives focused on process improvement, automation, and innovation
Assist in the development, enhancement, and maintenance of data pipelines and data platforms
Support data preparation, integration, and validation activities to ensure data quality and reliability
Contribute to data analysis and reporting to support business and technology decision-making
Assist in identifying opportunities to automate manual processes and improve operational efficiency
Support the exploration and implementation of AI-driven solutions to address business challenges
Collaborate with technology and business teams to gather requirements and translate them into data solutions
Participate in testing, documentation, and continuous improvement initiatives
Provide support on other projects and tasks as assigned
Who You Work With
Group Engineering, within the Group Operations & Technology Division, plays a critical role in enabling OCBC's digital and technology transformation. The team leverages modern engineering practices, data platforms, and emerging technologies to deliver innovative solutions that support the bank's businesses and customers.
As part of the Data Engineering team, you'll work alongside engineers, data professionals, and business stakeholders to deliver scalable and impactful data solutions. You'll gain exposure to enterprise data platforms, automation initiatives, and AI-enabled technologies that shape the future of banking.
Who You Are
Currently pursuing or recently completed an Undergraduate, Graduate, or Postgraduate degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Analytics, or a related discipline
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Interest in data engineering, data analytics, automation, and artificial intelligence
Basic understanding of databases, data modelling, and ETL processes
Familiarity with Python, SQL, or other data processing tools
Exposure to cloud platforms, data analytics technologies, or AI/ML concepts would be advantageous
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to data quality
Good communication and collaboration skills
Proactive, adaptable, and eager to learn new technologies and business domains
