About this Internal Communications Specialist role at Side
Internal Communications Specialist at Side
Side is looking for a talented Internal Communications Specialist to support the company across its 14 games studios globally. We’re looking for someone with three to five years' experience, who feels confident working independently, sharing ideas with the team and is excited about the prospect of working internationally – there is scope to travel within this role.
You’ll be working into the senior PR manager in London, helping to deliver the internal comms strategy and supporting the development of a strong communications department at Side; the aim is to grow the team and scale with the business so it’s a busy but exciting time to join.
Having rebranded last year, Side is in a phase of experimentation and exploration, so you won’t be walking into a set structure in this role, you will be able to help shape the direction in partnership with the wider team.
As we continue to creatively direct our approach, we are looking for someone who feels both comfortable and excited by the prospect of a blank canvas, not intimidated by it. This is a highly visible role, with strong exposure to senior leadership.
Responsibilities:
- Support the delivery and analysis of team feedback surveys
- Drive engagement for our environmental programme
- Provide tailored regional counsel for internal comms to our local studio heads
- Design accessible internal comms processes to keep our teams and leadership connected
- Spot and remove barriers that are impeding our internal comms
- Take part in the annual review process, providing feedback and supervision as required
- Help develop the internal communications practice, increase its visibility across the company and work with other teams to improve how we communicate with our people
- Attend external and internal events as required, travel will be required for this role
Who you are:
- You’re organised, self-motivated and proactive – you’re someone who already leads meetings and activities comfortably and can see a project through from ideation to execution
- You have worked with C-Suite and senior leadership before and feel confident communicating with that group
- You’re a strong internal communicator, you can quickly understand how teams need to collaborate and the most effective comms to facilitate that
- You have experience connecting multiple comms streams (we have teams that cross industries, timezones, languages, devices, tech systems)
- You love variety, from sound design and music through to datasets and quality assurance, we have lots to work with! You should be excited by the prospect of having multiple projects on the go
- You’re happy with hybrid working, you’ll be part of our London studio, joining the team in person and you’ll be excited to visit our studios further afield
