Make an Impact

This is a paid 12-week Summer Internship Programme, starting on 1 December 2026 to 19 February 2027. You will be working with cross-functional teams to design intuitive, innovative and well-crafted user experiences for business travellers. Serko as a Kiwi technology company is committed to giving back to the tech community. This is an opportunity for you to make real impacts by contributing to real-world projects that make a difference. You will work alongside industry professionals and be supported by experienced mentors & business leaders.

What you'll get to do

Assist in the design, development and testing of software applications.
Collaborate with engineers and other team members to gather requirements and deliver solutions.
Write clean, maintainable and efficient code.
Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback.
Debug and troubleshoot software issues.
Contribute to the development of technical documentation.
Participate in team meetings and contribute to project planning.
Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies.

About You

A strong passion for learning and a desire to grow as a software engineer.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills;
Open to receiving constructive feedback in a safe and inclusive work environment.
Currently enrolled and in final year studying in an Engineering program (e.g., software engineering, computer science) or a related field.
Some particular technical skills we are looking for:

Must have: HTML/ CSS, JavaScript.
Good to have: React, Typescript or Bash experience;
