Job Description:
TJX (www.tjx.com) is the leading off-price retailer of apparel and home fashions in the world. With more than 5.200 stores in 10 countries and more than 350.000 associates. In Italy, TJX doesn’t have stores, but a Global Buying Office with more than 160 associates in 4 different offices (2 in Florence and 2 in Milan).
Intern's tasks:
- Supports the management of sample flow within the office, including receiving, storing, categorising, and preparing samples for evaluation and inspection. Verifies shipping documentation, prepares customs paperwork for international shipments, and maintains accurate records of related documents. Assists in gathering information and coordinating documentation to streamline operational processes, while monitoring vendor-related issues and supporting timely resolutions.
- Assists the Quality team in preparing for Market Week and supporting related activities.
- Provides administrative and operational support to the assigned team, including handling general office duties such as mailing, file updating, and document management.
- Gains exposure to various functions and departments across the company, developing a broad understanding of business operations and cross-functional collaboration.
- May participate in business trips to support vendor visits, product evaluations, and merchandise inspections when required.
LANGUAGES: Proficient Italian & English
DURATION: 6 months
WORKING HOURS: full-time (40 hours/week), Monday to Friday
LOCATION: Florence Office
ALLOWANCE: €700 per month + meal vouchers (€10 per day)
