Job Description

Purpose of Role

Manage and maintain the school library as a welcoming, organized, and resourceful learning environment that supports students, teachers, and staff. Promote literacy, research, and lifelong learning by providing access to library resources, assisting users with information needs, and supporting academic programs and school initiatives.

ISP Intern librarian Key Responsibilities

Manage the organization, cataloging, circulation, and maintenance of library resources, ensuring accurate records and accessibility. Support students and staff in locating, selecting, and effectively using print and digital information resources. Promote reading initiatives, library programs, and activities that foster literacy and a love of learning. Collaborate with teachers to support curriculum needs by providing relevant resources and research assistance. Monitor the library environment to ensure it remains organized, welcoming, and conducive to learning while maintaining library policies and procedures.

Ability to convey information clearly, professionally, and empathetically. Organization and time management: Prioritize tasks and meet deadlines. Attention to detail: Handle information and documentation with precision. Confidentiality and professional ethics: Handle sensitive employee information with discretion and responsibility.
