Project Description
This internship provides an opportunity to participate in industrial engineering projects focused on improving productivity, workflow efficiency, and business processes within the Planning and Warehouse functions. The intern will analyze existing workflows, identify improvement opportunities, and develop prototype digital solutions that enhance operational efficiency and decision-making.
Where applicable, the intern may utilize Artificial Intelligence (AI), Generative AI, automation technologies, and digital tools to support workflow analysis, solution development, and process improvement initiatives.
Objective of the Project
Identify workflow inefficiencies and improvement opportunities within business processes.
Develop and evaluate prototype solutions that improve productivity and process effectiveness.
Apply data analysis and process improvement methodologies to support decision-making.
Deliver up to three Minimum Viable Product (MVP) solutions that address identified business challenges.
Opportunities for Full Time Employment
Successful interns who demonstrate strong analytical capability, project ownership, and collaboration skills may be considered for future internship extensions, graduate opportunities, or full time employment opportunities, subject to business requirements.
Project Scope
Document and analyze existing workflows, processes, and operational challenges.
Identify improvement opportunities through process mapping, data analysis, and stakeholder engagement.
Develop and test prototype digital solutions using tools such as Microsoft 365, Python, UiPath, or other approved platforms.
Evaluate solution effectiveness and recommend enhancements based on user feedback and business requirements.
Utilize AI-enabled tools where appropriate to support workflow analysis, documentation, and solution development.
Learning Opportunities
Gain exposure to industrial engineering applications within planning and warehouse operations.
Develop practical skills in workflow documentation, process mapping, and business process improvement.
Learn solution prototyping techniques using digital tools and automation platforms.
Build experience in data analysis, solution evaluation, and stakeholder engagement.
Gain exposure to AI-enabled ways of working and modern productivity tools used in business environments.
Deliverables
Documentation of selected workflows and identified improvement opportunities.
Analysis supporting recommended process improvements.
Development and demonstration of up to three MVP solutions.
Final project report summarizing solution design, implementation approach, results, and recommendations.
Final presentation to stakeholders on project outcomes and key learnings.

Improve understanding of workflow inefficiencies and process improvement opportunities.
Demonstrate practical digital solutions that can enhance productivity and operational effectiveness.
Support data-driven decision-making and continuous improvement initiatives within the organisation.

Skillsets Required
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Good written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.
Familiarity with process mapping, workflow analysis, or business process improvement concepts is advantageous.
Familiarity with Microsoft 365 applications, Python, Power BI, UiPath, or similar digital tools is advantageous.
Familiarity with Artificial Intelligence (AI), Generative AI, or AI-enabled workflows is advantageous.
Course of Interest
The ideal candidate should be pursuing a degree in Industrial Engineering, Business Analytics, Data Science, Operations Management, Information Systems, or a related field.
Duration of Period
The ideal candidate should be able to commit to a full time internship period of 5 months from Jan to May 2027.
