ISG Operations - Manager, Business Analytics – MIS (Mumbai)

Morgan Stanley is seeking an experienced professional to join the Fund Services business as a Manager within Business Analytics (MIS). The role supports strategic planning and business management through insightful data analysis, management reporting, and decision support. The successful candidate will develop standard and ad hoc reporting on client, operational, and business metrics; synthesize large and complex data sets into clear, actionable insights for senior management; and apply strong quantitative, problem-solving, and commercial skills to address business questions. The role requires effective partnership with global stakeholders and provides an opportunity to influence business decisions, improve reporting capabilities, and measure outcomes across the Fund Services organization.

Success in this role requires a strong academic or professional foundation in finance, economics, mathematics, statistics, or a related discipline, together with intellectual curiosity, sound judgment, and the ability to work independently within a collaborative, multi-regional team.

What you’ll do in the role:

• Develop, enhance, and maintain comprehensive management information and reporting capabilities for senior leadership.
• Partner with Sales team to assess prospective opportunities and estimate associated resource and capacity requirements.
• Analyze data from multiple sources to identify trends, patterns, risks, and actionable business insights.
• Evaluate business processes and information flows to identify opportunities to improve efficiency, effectiveness, and scalability by leveraging AI and automation tools.
• Recommend enhancements to existing MIS frameworks, dashboards, and reporting processes to support timely and informed decision-making.
• Collaborate with Technology and other internal stakeholders to resolve data-quality issues, remediate reporting gaps, and deliver sustainable solutions.

What you’ll bring to the role:

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, mathematics, statistics, business, or a related discipline, with at least six years of relevant professional experience.
• Strong analytical and quantitative capabilities, with excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Demonstrated project management skills, including the ability to manage priorities, coordinate stakeholders, and deliver against deadlines.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including automation, pivot tables, complex formulas, and data analysis.
• Working knowledge of VBA, databases or SQL, and business intelligence tools such as Tableau or Power BI is preferred.
• Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and remain effective in a fast-paced environment.
• Proven ability to perform under pressure, manage competing priorities, and consistently meet tight deadlines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and concisely to senior stakeholders.
• Collaborative mindset and demonstrated ability to build effective working relationships across teams, functions, and regions.
