Job Responsibilities:

The role is a junior individual contributor with ownership of outbound prospecting and inbound qualification for assigned territories. Authority extends to prospect selection within the defined target account framework, outbound messaging and lead qualification decisions. Other closely related assignments may be involved when necessary.

Outbound prospecting

  • Execute outbound prospecting activity targeting Toolhive prospects through a coordinated mix of email sequences, LinkedIn outreach and phone calls
  • Research target accounts using LinkedIn Sales Navigator and company websites, identifying CAM software in use, machine count and current tool management approach
  • Personalise each outreach to the prospect's environment, referencing the specific CAM system, industry and apparent pain points
  • Build and maintain regional target account lists for the assigned territory

Inbound and trial lead qualification

  • Qualify inbound Toolhive leads promptly, including trial signups, website form fills, content downloads and webinar registrations
  • Monitor the Toolhive trial user activity dashboard and engage users who reach defined engagement thresholds (for example, created a tool assembly, imported a tool catalog, invited a team member)
  • Conduct discovery calls to qualify leads against the BANT framework (Budget, Authority, Need, Timeline)
  • Follow up on event leads from industry trade shows and from webinars

Cross-channel and portfolio qualification

  • Qualify Toolhive leads referred by reseller partners before handover to the Account Executive
  • Follow up with CAM software users who indicate Toolhive interest via webinars, CAM integration landing pages or CAM reseller referrals
  • Qualify Cribwise referrals from Sandvik tooling-division sales representatives before Account Executive handoff
  • Qualify Cribwise-to-Toolhive upsell leads forwarded by the Partner Sales Manager

CRM and lead management

  • Log all prospecting and qualification activity in CRM, including calls, emails, LinkedIn touches and lead status changes
  • Maintain data hygiene on assigned lead records and support the Sales Operations Specialist with record enrichment
  • Collaborate with Marketing on the lead scoring model and MQL criteria

Requirements:

  • University degree in business, engineering, marketing, communications or a related discipline. Equivalent practical experience will be considered where the candidate has a demonstrable record of commercial outreach and qualification.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to produce concise, personalised outbound messaging
  • Confidence in outbound telephone and video conversations, including cold opening and structured discovery
  • Organisational discipline: consistent CRM hygiene, activity logging and iteration on what is working
  • Curiosity about manufacturing, software or both, and a willingness to build CAM, CNC and tool data domain knowledge
  • Eligibility to work in the role's designated region
  • Occasional travel for team meetings, partner events and industry trade shows in the assigned region

Experience:

Relevant experience is defined by quality rather than length. Suitable candidates will be early-career commercial professionals or recent graduates with demonstrable outreach discipline and commercial drive.

  • Prior experience in a B2B sales development, business development, sales or customer success role is an advantage
  • Exposure to SaaS, industrial software or the CNC and machine shop environment is preferred
  • Familiarity with sales engagement platforms (Outreach.io, HubSpot Sequences) and LinkedIn Sales Navigator
  • Track record of learning technical domains quickly and translating technical benefits into customer-facing messaging
  • CRM: HubSpot (current) with planned transition to Microsoft Dynamics 365; the role depends on CRM as the single source of truth for lead and activity tracking
  • Sales engagement: Outreach.io or HubSpot Sequences for email cadences
  • Prospecting: LinkedIn Sales Navigator for account research and InMail
  • Product analytics: Toolhive trial usage dashboard for PQL identification
  • Occasional off-hours activity to reach prospects across different time zones
  • Additional language skills relevant to the role's region (e.g. German, Swedish, French, Italian, Hindi) are an advantage
