Notre équipe Sample Management Solutions (SMS) recherche un nouveau talent pour soutenir une mission de projet de deux ans au sein de notre équipe Field Service Engineering.

Comment vous apporterez de la valeur

En tant qu’Ingénieur Service Terrain (CDD – mission de 24 mois), vous fournirez des services techniques de routine et à la demande sur le site de notre client. Cela inclut l’installation, les mises à niveau, les réparations et la maintenance préventive des systèmes et équipements Azenta.

Vous travaillerez avec des technologies avancées en environnement à basse température : systèmes de stockage automatisés, robots de transport, technologie à l’azote liquide et équipements d’automatisation associés.

Votre lieu de travail principal sera sur site, chez notre client à Lille, France, où vous contribuerez à la réussite d’un projet dédié sur deux ans. La première année sera consacrée à une formation spécialisée, incluant des déplacements sur nos sites internationaux en Europe/Royaume-Uni et partiellement aux États-Unis.

Vos missions

  • Résoudre les problèmes clients et garantir le respect des contrats de service sur site.
  • Effectuer la maintenance des équipements/systèmes : installation logicielle et matérielle, mises à niveau, diagnostics, réparations, maintenance préventive.
  • Analyser les incidents, identifier les causes racines et les actions correctives, et suivre les performances.
  • Assurer le support opérationnel pour la gestion d’échantillons biologiques du client.
  • Collaborer avec des équipes internationales.
  • Rédiger des documents tels que des rapports d’intervention et de suivi.
  • Intervenir en cas d’urgence liée aux équipements ou aux défaillances de production (occasionnellement).
  • Gérer les équipements de prêt.
  • Contribuer à des tâches administratives et organisationnelles (devis, expéditions d’équipements, etc.).

Votre profil

  • Formation technique (Bac+2/3) ou licence en ingénierie ou domaine connexe.
  • Expérience pratique avec des systèmes électriques, des machines ou des équipements d’automatisation.
  • Solides connaissances en sécurité électrique et mécanique.
  • Maîtrise du français et de l’anglais.
  • Expérience en dépannage et analyse structurée des causes racines.
  • Permis de conduire valide.
  • Bonnes compétences informatiques (Windows / DOS).
  • Disponibilité pour des déplacements nationaux et internationaux, ainsi que pour des interventions occasionnelles le week-end / astreintes.

Qualités personnelles

  • Discrétion et bon jugement.
  • Excellentes compétences en communication et sens du service client.
  • Capacité à résoudre les problèmes de manière autonome.
  • Aptitude à prioriser les tâches de façon indépendante.

Atouts supplémentaires

  • Expérience avec des systèmes de réfrigération.
  • Connaissance d’Oracle.

Our Sample Management Solutions (SMS) team is looking for a new talent to support a two‑year project assignment within our Field Service Engineering team.

How You’ll Add Value

As a Field Service Engineer (fixed-term, 24‑month project assignment), you will provide routine and on‑demand technical services at our customer’s site. This includes installation, upgrades, repairs, and preventive maintenance of Azenta systems and equipment.

You will work closely with advanced technologies in low‑temperature environments—automated storage systems, transport robots, liquid nitrogen technology, and related automation equipment.

Your primary work location will be on-site at our customer’s facility in Lille, France, supporting the successful delivery of a dedicated project over a two‑year period. Your first year will focus on specialized training, including travel to our international sites in EU/UK and partially US.

What You’ll Do

  • Resolve customer issues and ensure compliance with service agreements on-site.

  • Perform maintenance on equipment/systems: software & hardware installation, upgrades, diagnostics, repairs, preventive maintenance.

  • Analyze issues, identify root causes/corrective actions, and monitor performance.

  • Support operational handling of customer-managed biological samples.

  • Collaborate with global teams.

  • Prepare documentation such as service and status reports.

  • Respond to occasional emergencies related to equipment or production failures.

  • Maintain loaner equipment.

  • Support administrative and organizational tasks (quotes, equipment shipments, etc.).

What You’ll Bring

  • Completed vocational training or Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field.

  • Hands-on experience with electrical systems, machinery, or automation equipment.

  • Strong electrical and mechanical safety knowledge.

  • Fluent in French and English.

  • Experience with troubleshooting and structured root cause analysis.

  • Valid driver’s license.

  • Good PC skills (Windows / DOS).

  • Willingness to travel domestically/internationally and to occasionally work weekends/on-call.

  • Independent problem-solving abilities.

  • Ability to prioritize tasks independently.

Preferred

  • Experience with refrigeration systems.

  • Experience with Oracle.
