Covestro, a leading company in the supply of premium polymers and high-tech plastics, is looking for an Infrastructure & Facilities Expert to join the ChemPark Service team based in Filago (BG).

The Filago ChemPark is a multi-tenant industrial site hosting Covestro operations and third-party tenants, requiring a high standard of infrastructure management, regulatory compliance and technical governance to ensure safe and uninterrupted operations.

As part of this team, you will be the in-house technical reference for all matters related to buildings, civil infrastructure, utilities and facility assets across the site. You will work closely with the ChemPark Manager to ensure the integrity, compliance and long-term sustainability of the site's physical infrastructure, coordinating external engineering resources and managing infrastructure-related technical activities throughout the asset lifecycle.

Reporting to the ChemPark Manager & Site HSE Lead, the selected candidate will take on the following responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement lifecycle strategies for buildings and infrastructure assets, defining maintenance and investment priorities based on technical risk, compliance requirements and business needs;

  • Assess infrastructure conditions, identify technical risks and coordinate external engineering assessments and specialist contractors;

  • Manage the technical aspects of industrial buildings, structural assets, civil infrastructure, containment systems, roads, perimeter infrastructure and shared utility networks (fire water, wastewater, rainwater, industrial water…);

  • Act as technical interface with authorities, utility providers, engineering companies and specialist consultants; coordinate statutory inspections and infrastructure-related permitting activities;

  • Support infrastructure and civil engineering capital projects throughout the project lifecycle, from defining technical requirements to contractor selection and execution monitoring;

  • Maintain technical documentation supporting the site's License to operate and ensure compliance with applicable statutory regulations;

  • Support emergency preparedness for infrastructure-related events and provide technical support during emergency situations.

WHAT YOU OFFER

The right candidate holds a Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Civil Engineering, Building Engineering or equivalent. Candidates with extensive industrial experience as a facility manager in a complex industrial environment will also be considered.

Other requirements:

  • Minimum 8 years of experience in industrial infrastructure, civil engineering or facility engineering;

  • Experience in chemical, petrochemical or comparable industrial environments;

  • Solid background in infrastructure asset management, contractor management and capital projects;

  • Knowledge of building regulations and regulatory compliance related to industrial infrastructure;

  • Strong ownership mindset, analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to coordinate multidisciplinary external resources;

  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills;

  • Sustainability awareness and a proactive approach to long-term asset value preservation.
