You've Never Been Satisfied with "Good Enough."
You didn't get into this to manage one piece of a project. You got into it to change how the world gets built.
At Accenture Construct, that's the job. You'll help deliver the data centers, power grids, rail networks, factories and public infrastructure that keep communities moving — smarter, safer and more sustainably.
You'll work alongside people who think big and act bold: project managers, engineers, technologists and strategists who pair real-world delivery with AI. And you won't be handed a slice of it. We take on whole programs, from early strategy through construction and handover, and we stand behind how they land.
Because “good enough” builds the past. You're here to build what's next.
As Accenture continues to grow, you may see a variety of new career opportunities, and depending on the role and location you may be directed to apply through Accenture LLP or one of our other legal entities - Accenture Construct LLC or Accenture Construct Inc., with benefits varying by country and role, so please check with your recruiter for details.
THE WORK:
You’ll serve as the primary point of contact among stakeholders, engineers, contractors, department staff, and client leadership, leading project meetings and providing progress updates and approvals to the Board of Directors.
You’ll align project design, budget, and execution and address conflicts or issues that arise onsite.
You’ll represent the Agency in interactions with consultants and contractors and coordinate wastewater, water, recycled water, and sewer projects with other departments and outside agencies.
You’ll plan, assign, and evaluate the work of staff, consultants, and contractors and develop work plans to achieve unit objectives.
You’ll apply best practices and quality standards, enforce safe work practices, and maintain safe working conditions across your areas of responsibility.
You’ll assist with the annual project budget, monitor and control project costs, approve invoices, track expenses, provide forecasts and financial reports, and recommend cost-saving strategies that do not compromise quality.
You’ll conduct final inspections, ensure completion of punch-list items, and oversee the turnover of completed projects to the client.
You’ll maintain project records, compile as-built drawings, warranties, manuals, and asset registries, and document lessons learned and post-project evaluations.
Onsite at client site: The work location for this role is onsite with our clients and partners to enable delivery and cultivate our client relationships.
With all our roles, there is some in-person time for collaboration, learning and building relationships with clients, peers, leaders and communities. As an employer, we will be as flexible as possible to support your specific work/life needs.
HERE’S WHAT YOU’LL NEED:
A minimum of six years of focused engineering and construction experience
A valid California Class C driver’s license
A degree in Construction Management or Civil Engineering from an accredited four-year college or university
BONUS POINTS IF YOU HAVE:
Experience with water or wastewater construction projects
Registration as a Certified Construction Manager in the State of California
Experience working as an owner’s representative
Established relationships with water or wastewater agencies
WHAT'S IN IT FOR YOU
- The biggest builds going. Hyperscale data centers, grid and generation, transit and rail, chip fabs, mines, water. If it's complex and it matters, it's on our list.
- You own the outcome. Not a workstream. Not a deliverable. Whether the program lands.
- AI that shows up on site. Program control that predicts instead of records. You'll use it, and you'll help shape it.
- Scale without the distance. More than 5,000 practitioners across the Americas, EMEA and APAC, on a team small enough that people know your name.
- Serious investment in you. Leadership development, technical upskilling and certification support.
- Work that outlasts you. People will use what you build for forty years without knowing your name. That's the point.
- Recognition that means something in this industry. Accenture Construct is ranked #6 globally in ENR's 2026 Top 50 Program Management Firms and #4 in Building Design + Construction's Top 80 Construction Management Firms for 2026.
