Position Summary
Credence has an upcoming need for an Informatica Architect and Subject Matter Expert (SME) to join our team supporting architecting, implementing and leading the team to implement Enterprise Data Management Products, including PowerCenter. This position will work closely with cross-functional teams to provide strategic direction, technical expertise, and ensure the solution meets the specific needs of the government. This position is based in Credence’s corporate offices located in Tysons Corner in McLean, VA and Dayton, OH. This project is slated to begin onboarding in September 2026.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the duties listed below, as outlined in the contract statement of work:
- Lead the discovery sessions with customer and partners to understand requirements and challenges and architect solutions.
- Lead the modernization effort to transition an existing legacy system to the Informatica PowerCenter platform, ensuring a seamless integration with existing architectures.
- Provide deep technical expertise in Informatica PowerCenter, including its various tools (e.g., Data Integration, Data Quality, Metadata Manager), and guide the team in best practices and efficient use of the platform.
- Collaborate with stakeholders (including Federal clients, engineers, and business analysts) to design, document, and implement solutions that align with program objectives.
- Develop and drive solutioning strategies to meet the unique challenges of the modernization effort, offering both technical and strategic recommendations.
- Assist in mapping out the transformation and data integration processes, ensuring data flow and accuracy through the system modernization.
- Mentor and guide junior team members on Informatica tool usage, system architecture, and related best practices.
- Review existing system processes and propose improvements and optimizations based on Informatica’s capabilities.
- Conduct workshops, briefings, and knowledge-sharing sessions with the government client and internal teams.
- Support the preparation of documentation for the new system architecture, designs, and technical specifications.
- Develop and deliver high-quality software solutions by using industry-aligned programming languages, frameworks, and tools. Ensuring that code is scalable, maintainable, and optimized for performance.
- Cross-functional collaboration with product managers, designers, and other engineers to define software requirements, devise solution strategies, and ensure seamless integration and alignment with business objectives.
- Adherence to secure coding practices to mitigate vulnerabilities, protect sensitive data, and ensure secure software solutions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in enterprise data integration, specifically with Informatica PowerCenter and related Informatica tools.
- Proven track record of leading and executing similar modernization efforts for Federal government systems or large-scale enterprise data platforms.
- In-depth knowledge of Informatica PowerCenter components, including but not limited to Data Integration, Data Quality, and Metadata Manager.
- Strong understanding of system architecture, data modeling, ETL processes, and integration strategies.
- Experience in designing and implementing complex data workflows, data pipelines, and transformation logic.
- Strong ability to troubleshoot, optimize, and maintain Informatica-based solutions.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and solve complex technical challenges.
- Up-to-date with the latest trends in data integration, governance, and Informatica technologies.
- Strong communication skills with experience in interacting with senior stakeholders, technical teams, and clients.
- Experience with implementing Informatica solutions in major cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, or similar environments.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and working in an Agile development environment such as DevSecOps.
- Experience implementing Informatica solutions in containerized architecture.
- Knowledge of Federal government regulations and compliance standards related to data systems and security.
- Certifications in Informatica (e.g., Informatica PowerCenter, Informatica Cloud) are highly desirable.
- Must be eligible for security clearance; an active Secret clearance is preferred
Salary Range: $130,000.00 to $150,000 annually. Actual compensation will be determined based on the selected candidate's experience, education, skills, and overall qualifications.
