What You Will Experience

  • Prepare surfaces for painting by sanding, cleaning, and removing old coatings.

  • Apply paint, varnish, stain, enamel, or lacquer to products and equipment.

  • Follow work instructions and quality standards to ensure a professional finish.

  • Monitor curing and drying times before products move to inspection.

  • Perform routine cleaning and maintenance of painting equipment and work areas.

  • Develop your skills through hands-on experience while working within established procedures and processes.

  • Collaborate with team members and leaders to ensure production goals and quality expectations are met.

You Have

  • 1-2 years of painting, finishing, manufacturing, construction, or related experience.

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred, but not required.

  • Knowledge of surface preparation techniques and painting applications.

  • Ability to follow work instructions and standard operating procedures.

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.

  • Ability to safely use painting tools, equipment, and materials.

  • Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic.

  • Ability to work independently with moderate supervision while contributing to a team environment.

  • Team members must be able to safely perform a range of physical activities, including standing and walking for extended periods, with frequent use of hands for tasks requiring dexterity and grip.

  •  Roles may require frequent bending, kneeling, and maintaining balance, with occasional climbing or repositioning to support production needs.

  • This position is classified as medium work, requiring the ability to lift, carry, or move materials up to 50 lbs occasionally, 30 lbs frequently, and 10 lbs consistently.

  •  Employees must be able to effectively communicate, hear, and visually assess work to ensure quality, safety, and accuracy in a manufacturing environment.

Pay Transparency
 
nVent’s pay scale is based on the expected range of base pay for this job and the employee’s work location. Employee pay within this range will be based on a combination of factors including knowledge, skills, abilities, experience, education, and performance. Where federal, state, or local minimum wage requirements exist, employee pay will comply.
 
Compensation Range:

$14.80 - $27.50 Per Hour

Depending on the position offered, employee may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as annual incentives.
