Job Summary
- Drive business growth across South Korea, with a primary focus on the Semiconductor, Display, and Advanced Materials markets.
- Identify new market opportunities, target customers, and emerging applications by understanding industry trends, customer needs, and technology developments.
- Connect customer business and technical needs with Thermo Fisher Scientific’s broad portfolio of analytical instruments and solutions.
- Collaborate closely with sales and cross-functional teams to develop new opportunities and translate them into business growth.
DESCRIPTION:
As a Business Development Specialist III at Thermo Fisher Scientific, you will contribute to growth and innovation in serving our scientific community. You will identify new business opportunities, develop strategic partnerships, and create market strategies across multiple divisions and regions. Working closely with cross-functional teams, you will analyze market trends, develop comprehensive business plans, and build strong relationships with key stakeholders, channel partners, and industry leaders. This role combines strategic thinking with practical execution to expand our market presence while maintaining our commitment to enabling customers to make the world healthier, cleaner, and safer.
REQUIREMENTS:
• Advanced Degree plus 3 years of experience, or Bachelor's Degree plus 5 years of experience in business development or strategic sales experience in Semiconductor, Display, and Advanced Materials markets.
• Preferred Fields of Study: Semiconductor, Display, and Advanced Materials markets.
• Strong analytical and strategic planning capabilities with demonstrated ability to identify market opportunities
• Excellent relationship building and negotiation skills with ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels
• Demonstrated success in meeting revenue targets and contributing to business growth
• Experience in developing and executing market strategies
• Advanced proficiency in CRM systems, data analysis tools, and Microsoft Office suite
• Strong project management skills with ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously
• Excellent presentation and communication skills, both written and verbal
• Intermediate level in English
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a matrix organization
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry standards
• Travel required 30-50% based on business needs
• Experience with digital commerce platforms and e-business solutions preferred
• Demonstrated ability to analyze complex data and translate insights into actionable strategies
