Leidos is seeking an Industrial Assembly Technician that will be responsible for assembling, testing, and inspecting complex electro-mechanical components and systems used in industrial and R&D applications. This role requires strong hands-on assembly skills, attention to detail, and the ability to interpret technical drawings and schematics. The ideal candidate is a self-motivated team player who takes pride in producing high-quality work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assemble cables, harnesses, panels, enclosures, and other small sub-assemblies.
  • Read and interpret work instructions, mechanical drawings, and electrical schematics.
  • Install components and devices according to assembly documentation and specifications.
  • Solder wires printed circuit board assemblies (PCBAs), and electronic components.
  • Measure, cut, strip, and route wires on panels and/or enclosures.
  • Use basic hand tools and power tools to perform assembly and fabrication tasks.
  • Operate measuring instruments such as multimeters, continuity testers, calipers, tape measures, and rulers to verify product conformity.
  • Provide feedback and suggest improvements to assembly processes and documentation.
  • Complete build records, quality documentation, and production reports as required.
  • Perform quality checks on own work and assist with peer (buddy) inspections.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workspace in accordance with 5S methodologies.
  • Follow established manufacturing guidelines, procedures, and safety protocols.
  • Adhere to all company regulatory and compliance policies.

Required Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in manufacturing, production, or research & development (R&D) environments.
  • Typically requires high school diploma or equivalent and 1 – 3 years of prior relevant experience.
  • Additional years of experience will be considered in lieu of education

  • Knowledge and awareness of Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) handling procedures.
  • Proficiency with basic computer applications for daily production tasks.
  • Current or previously held certification in one or more of the following standards:
    • IPC-620 (Cable & Wire Harness Assemblies)
    • IPC-610 (Electronic Assemblies)
    • IPC-7711 / 7721 (Rework & Repair)
    • J-STD-001 (Soldered Electrical & Electronic Assemblies)

Pay Range:

Pay Range $40,300.00 - $72,850.00

The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
