This role is responsible for leading complex requirement‑gathering efforts, mapping end‑to‑end business workflows, and defining clear, scalable functional specifications that enable teams to deliver modern, data‑driven, and automated billing capabilities. It is a key role in shaping how billing processes evolve—improving accuracy, cycle time, operational efficiency, and customer experience across all Business segments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Translate business requirements into detailed features, user stories, process flows, and acceptance criteria for engineering delivery.

  • Perform business process mapping and gap analysis across Billing workflows, identifying automation, IDP (Intelligent Document Processing), and AI‑driven optimization opportunities.

  • Support data‑driven decision making by analyzing billing workflow data, system behaviors, triage rules, and operational bottlenecks.

  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, data scientists, and product teams to ensure solutions align with system architecture, integration frameworks, and enterprise platform standards.

  • Document current‑state and future‑state workflows, including data flows, decision points, system interactions, and triage logic.

  • Participate in backlog refinement, requirement walkthroughs, testing cycles, and readiness reviews to validate functional fit and business value.

  • Serve as the liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams, ensuring consistent understanding of processes, requirements, and constraints.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 5–10 years of Business Analyst experience in technology‑driven, workflow‑heavy, or operational environments.

  • Strong requirements‑gathering, story‑writing, and acceptance‑criteria definition skills.

  • Experience supporting delivery in Agile or SAFe frameworks, including writing epics, features, and user stories.

  • Expertise in business process mapping (BPM), workflow optimization, and operational analysis.

  • Ability to interpret data insights and apply them to business decisions and process improvements.

  • Strong stakeholder‑management and communication skills across business, technology, and analytical teams.

  • Experience working in Agile or SAFe delivery models.

  • Ability to collaborate across globally distributed teams and support cross‑functional delivery.

  • Familiarity with SQL or analytical querying to validate data conditions or support logic‑based requirement definition.

Nice to Have Skills

  • Experience with Billing domain processes or insurance operations.

  • Knowledge of billing processes, insurance operations, or financial exposure workflows.

  • Familiarity with AI‑enabled workflow concepts.

  • Experience working with visualization tools (Figma, Miro) for journey mapping or process design.

  • Basic understanding of SQL, analytics platforms, or data‑driven problem solving.

  • Exposure to cloud‑native solution components, rules engines, and enterprise workflow platforms.
