The Space Modeling Layout Manager needs to lead Layout planners to develop space and transfer optimization strategies for fab expansion, technology migration, and future intelligent fab development. Drive best-in-class space utilization, transfer efficiency, and cost-effective solutions through modeling, simulation, and data-driven decision making. AI proficiency or AI‑enabled ways of working where applicable to support Micron’s AI transformation and ensures roles are aligned to our future workforce needs.

Key Job:

• Lead and develop the Space Modeling team.

• Develop long-term Fab and office space strategies and AI-enabled planning systems, to support future fab development, expansion flexibility, and transfer optimization.

• Drive Fab space efficiency, transfer efficiency, and Bits per Square (BPS) improvement through BKM, data-driven analysis and cost-effective solutions.

• Enhance transfer simulation models to support business planning and scenario analysis. Co-lead development and deployment of Global COE (Cross Optimization Engine) solutions across Micron sites.

• Collaborate with IE Planning, Manufacturing, Facility, AMHS, HVM, and SMAI teams to identify constraints and improve planning effectiveness, forecast accuracy, and simulation model fidelity.

• Simulate and develop future-state intelligent fab designs to enable scalable, flexible, and cost-effective expansion.

• Lead office space planning to support employee engagement, collaboration, workplace experience, and culture development.

• Lead office expansion and remodeling projects, ensuring alignment with business growth, operational requirements, and workplace strategies.
