The Institutional Client Group (ICG) for Debt manages the Bank's relationships with institutional investors across the full Debt product spectrum.  ICG Debt combines the global capabilities of Deutsche Bank with regional expertise on five continents.

Overview of the team

With leading market shares in nearly every product and region, the success relies on factors such as anticipating the impact of market and regulatory changes to clients’ business, developing the latest eCommerce and Clearing platforms, and leveraging the Bank’s product, research and structuring expertise to offer tailor-made solutions which are customized to meet the specific requirements of each individual client.

Your key responsibilities

• Proactively driving sales coverage of Global Credit Trading (GCT) Financing coverage product offering to DACH based clients (focus on small-/mid-/large-cap private equity funds, intermediaries, debt advisors & funds) with a dedicated focus on private credit origination (e.g. Direct Lending and Illiquid Credit opportunities) across various asset classes

• Interacting with the relevant GCT trading desks that offer private credit financing to originate financing opportunities and to increase our market share in DACH region

• Partnering with GCT trading and structuring, as well as other colleagues within the team and within Deutsche Bank to leverage the banks relationships

• Acting as the Financing “product champion” and person to go to for the German Financing team to focus on internal origination in addition to external origination

• Helping with the development of more junior team members

Your skills and experiences

• Extensive knowledge of the private credit market and profound skills in private credit origination and deal execution

• Several years of working experience in private credit origination as well as a proven track record covering this client segment and deep knowledge of the private credit product & client base

• Strong client relationships combined with deep connectivity in the DACH DL market across the various market participants to originate financing transactions for GCT

• Entrepreneurial skills to prioritize resources to maximize outcome and value for client and driven and dedicated to help the team succeed – ability to motivate and lead other colleagues within DB to contribute to private credit origination

• Comfortable in a dynamic and fast paced environment and able to demonstrate the ability to navigate complex organizations

• Advanced with respect to quantitative skills and have the ability to agnostic origination of new private credit asset classes or transactions structures

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal and fluent in German and English
