The Town of Snowmass Village is looking to hire an Ice Rink Maintenance worker to join our Parks, Recreation and Trails team!
Hiring range: $24.49 - $28.17 an hour
$1700 Recreation Benefit for eligible employees

We are looking for an Ice Rink Maintenance worker that will perform specialized tasks such as creating ice layers for our natural ice rink, operating the zamboni, and grooming winter trails around Town.
Some of the day-to-day duties are listed below:
- Opens and closes facilities according to the rink policy.
- Performs ice resurfacing operation: operates Zamboni and ice edger; records ice measurements; flooding, patching, building, and repairing ice as required.
- Maintains a clean and safe facility.
- Ensures that all entrances are clear and safe of debris and snow.
- Performs general maintenance tasks including preventative maintenance.
- Enforces all rules and policies as established by the department for rink patrons.
- Shovels snow to building entrance and cleans skating rink surfaces of snow, as required.
- Monitors ice and patches holes and large cracks.
- Participates in all staff training and meetings.
- Performs a periodic walkthrough of the entire facility with the intent of observing, and if possible, correcting any real-time needs regarding cleanliness and maintenance.
- Observes patron activities; enforces rules; performs any first aid as needed to assist individuals suffering injuries.
The ideal candidate has the following qualifications:

Previous experience working with ice, or maintenance in outdoor winter environments.

Interest in the field of parks, trails and/or recreation.
