POSITION: Ice Crew Member

FLSA STATUS: Part time $15.00

Position Overview

Legends Global is seeking a dependable and hardworking Ice Crew team member to support ice operations at The Sanford Center. This position is responsible for maintaining a safe, clean, and high-quality ice surface while assisting with event and rink operations.

The ideal candidate enjoys working in a fast-paced sports environment, takes pride in their work, and is comfortable working flexible hours based on the event schedule.

Responsibilities

• Perform Ice Surface Snow Removal during TV Timeouts 
• Fulfill all pregame and postgame duties including mat setup and removal, dasher inspection, and equipment preparation
• Responsible for goal net placement and intermission movement
• Responsible for marsh peg hole drilling and ice clearing
• Serve as on ice skate monitor during special events and public skates 
• Assists with fan engagement intermission events
• Performs other duties as assigned by Ice Technician Manager
• Follow all safety procedures and venue policies.
• Work collaboratively with the venue operations team to ensure events run smoothly.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Proficient at ice skating
• Ability to work as a team and follow directions
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work on your feet and perform physical tasks for extended periods.
• Reliable transportation and dependable attendance.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and event days.
• Hockey knowledge or experience is preferred.
• Ice rink, arena, or facility operations experience is a plus, but training may be provided to the right candidate.

Schedule

This is a part-time position with variable hours based on the Sanford Center's event and hockey schedule. Candidates should be available for a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends.
