We are seeking a Human Resource Manager (Southwest Region) to join our People & Communications team in Melbourne, VIC. This person will drive the HR and people agenda within the Southwest Region, supporting the achievement of KONE’s business objectives and contributing to the ongoing development of the business. The role aligns people strategies and HR initiatives with current and future business needs to attract, engage, develop, and retain talent while ensuring KONE continues to be a great place to work.

What will you be doing?

  • Partner with business leaders to understand strategic objectives and translate business priorities into effective people and HR initiatives.

  • Provide guidance and advice on organisational design, workforce planning, leadership effectiveness, performance, and culture.

  • Support leaders in driving employee engagement, productivity, and retention.

  • In partnership with HR CoEs, lead talent acquisition and talent management activities, including workforce planning, succession planning, leadership and talent reviews, and the identification of critical roles.

  • Drive capability development and talent growth priorities across the business.

  • Support and implement performance management processes and performance improvement initiatives.

  • Provide guidance and support on employment, industrial, and labour relations matters, including enterprise bargaining, union engagement, and other industrial relations activities where applicable.

  • Support and drive business transformation and change management initiatives.

  • Promote KONE's strategy, values, and culture through effective communication, engagement, and leadership support.

  • Lead, coach, and develop HR team members to build capability and enhance performance.

  • Identify emerging workforce trends and organisational needs, sharing insights and recommendations to support business performance and continuous improvement.

Are you the one?

  • Relevant tertiary qualification in Human Resources, Business, Psychology, or a related discipline.

  • Demonstrated experience in a senior HR business partnering or HR management role.

  • Strong knowledge of employment legislation, industrial relations, and HR best practices.

  • Experience in organisational development, talent management, workforce planning, and change management.

  • Proven ability to influence and build strong stakeholder relationships across all levels of an organisation.

  • Strong leadership, coaching, and communication skills.

  • Commercial acumen and ability to align people strategies with business objectives.
