  • Demonstrated experience in an HSE advisory or operational safety role, ideally within construction, mining, heavy industry or a similar high-risk environment.
  • Sound knowledge of WHS legislation, regulatory requirements, risk management principles and HSE management systems.
  • Experience conducting workplace inspections, safety audits, risk assessments and incident investigations.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the confidence to engage, coach and influence employees and operational leaders at all levels.

  • The ability to work independently, manage competing priorities and build positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Drive effective incident management by supporting investigations, identifying root causes and coordinating corrective and preventative actions.
  • Inspire a positive safety culture by delivering toolbox talks, supporting safety training and encouraging employee participation in HSEQ initiatives.
  • Strengthen compliance and accountability by supporting the implementation of HSE legislation, management systems, policies and site-specific requirements.
  • Partner with operational teams to develop practical risk controls and promote consistent, safe work practices across the business.
  • Turn insights into action by maintaining accurate HSE records, monitoring safety performance and identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.
