This position is designated as a hybrid role based out of our headquarters near Portland, Oregon. The current expectation is for employees to work onsite four days per week, subject to change based on business needs. This in-office requirement may be adjusted at the discretion of the company.

ABOUT THE POSITION

The HR Service Center Coordinator role provides operational support within HR, serving as a first point of contact for employees and managers while supporting a variety of HR administrative and operational activities. In this role, you’ll build proficiency across assigned HR processes, respond to routine and moderately complex questions, and help employees and managers successfully navigate HR resources and self-service tools.

You’ll work closely with Service Center teammates, HR partners, COEs, and Process Owners to deliver a positive employee experience, maintain accurate and consistent processes, and contribute to improvements in HR resources and ways of working.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys helping others, learning HR processes, and contributing to a collaborative, fast-paced service environment.

HOW YOU’LL MAKE A DIFFERENCE

  • Serve as a first point of contact for employees and managers, providing timely, accurate, and customer-focused support.
  • Resolve routine and moderately complex inquiries using established procedures, resources, and previously gained knowledge, referring more complex issues to Tier 2 Specialists, COEs, or other appropriate partners.
  • Guide employees and managers through HR self-service activities and identify resources or content gaps that may prevent successful self-service.
  • Complete routine administrative and operational tasks within the HR function, following established process guidance, decision trees, and SOPs.
  • Build proficiency across assigned HR processes and apply learning to provide consistent, accurate support.
  • Maintain and improve knowledge base articles and employee-facing resources to promote effective self-service.
  • Support testing and documentation for new or updated HR processes and solutions.
  • Identify recurring questions, process gaps, or opportunities for greater consistency and share observations with Service Center leadership and peers.
  • Contribute to trend reporting and partner with teammates, COEs, and Process Owners to support timely issue resolution.
  • Communicate information across HR and internal partners to coordinate work and support consistent process execution.
  • Support team knowledge sharing and may assist with onboarding or training new employees.
  • Handle sensitive employee information responsibly and in accordance with privacy principles and company policies.

YOU ARE

  • Customer focused, with a desire to create positive and helpful experiences for employees and managers.
  • Curious and eager to learn, with an interest in developing knowledge across HR processes and systems.
  • Organized and dependable, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and follow work through to completion.
  • A thoughtful problem solver who can apply established procedures and recognize when an issue should be escalated.
  • A clear communicator who works well with teammates and partners across the organization.
  • Detail oriented and process minded, with an eye for identifying gaps or opportunities to make information and processes easier to use.
  • A collaborative team member who contributes to shared learning and consistent ways of working.

YOU HAVE

  • A high school diploma or equivalent experience; some positions may require 2+ years of technical training.
  • Typically 2–5 years of related experience in administrative support, HR, customer service, office operations, or a related field.
  • Strong customer service skills with a professional and approachable communication style.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple activities and deadlines.
  • Ability to learn and apply established processes, procedures, and business practices.
  • Experience handling confidential or sensitive information with discretion.
  • Comfort using general office tools and learning business systems.
  • Ability to identify when established resources or processes are not meeting a need and raise opportunities for improvement.
