Job Description
The Manager of Human Resources will be responsible for managing the implementation and ongoing maintenance of Human Resources systems and processes, focusing on both administrative and technical aspects for the Japan region. This role also includes managing daily payroll and attendance operations and supporting the development and administration of new and existing pay programs.
Key Responsibilities
Time and Attendance Management
- Responsible for working on daily time and attendance reports to check missing punches, meal breaks, and log in and log out details.
- Tracking employee leave data and reconciling it.
- Approving employee sick and bereavement leave in the relevant HR system.
- Tracking public holidays and notifying the relevant HR team for payroll processing.
Employee Onboarding and Offboarding
- Creating Manpower Requisition Forms (MRFs) for new hires and sharing them with the relevant HR team for offer letter preparation.
- Initiating the onboarding and offboarding processes in the relevant HR system.
- Tracking employee leavers and new hires.
Payroll Administration, Reporting and Data Tracking
- Collating payroll data and sending it to the relevant HR team for processing incentives, time adjustments, referral payments, retro adjustments, and general payroll adjustments (overpayments / underpayments), as well as public holiday payments to eligible employees.
- Validating payroll registers and providing approval to the relevant HR team for final payroll submission.
- Tracking relevant payroll reports.
HRIS/HRMS Implementation and Support
- Active involvement in all HRIS/HRMS aspects throughout implementation, including planning, configuration, testing, rollout, and post-implementation support.
- Ensuring successful delivery of HR technology/process deliverables, particularly for SAP SuccessFactors HRIS/HRMS.
- Providing functional expertise, guidance, reporting, support, and presentations for the team on SAP HCM functionalities.
Sustainability

Anti-Bribery Management Systems (ABMS)
- Follow the ABMS roles and responsibilities as prescribed in the relevant ABMS manual.

- Ability to identify and evaluate risks related to bribery in various business contexts.
Key Requirements
- 5 years of work experience in payroll and HRMS, with experience supporting Japanese payroll operations.
- Postgraduate or globally equivalent degree.
- Experience with SAP SuccessFactors and ADP is mandatory.
