Job Title: HR Coordinator

Reports To: VP of People

Department: Human Resources

Classification: Seasonal/ Hourly/ Full-Time


Position Summary:

The HR Coordinator will play a transactional support role for the operations of the HR department while enhancing employee experience and promoting a positive workplace culture. The position supports onboarding, orientation, recruiting, and HR operational support duties.  Hours schedule requirement is Wednesday – Sunday in support of Solitude operations.


Key Responsibilities:

Onboarding & Orientation

  • In partnership with other team members and departments, assist with orientation and onboarding sessions to provide an exceptional employee experience. 

Employee Engagement

  • Support/assist in coordination employee parties, events, and raffle prize ideas to boost engagement.

Recruitment

  • Support managers and leadership in screening and managing job requisitions and applicants in Workday.

 

HR Operations:

  • Support Workday-related tasks, including troubleshooting and assisting with job requisitions, applicant management, and hiring processes.
  • Manage employee pass benefits, including resort exchange passes, 50% Ikon Pass forms, Letters of Introduction, employee/dependent passes, nametag distribution and basic requests/updating phone lists seasonally.
  • Distribute employee nametags.
  • Employee housing administration support.

Qualifications:

  • One-year HR or equivalent work experience preferred.
  • Embodiment of Solitude and Alterra values and behaviors.
  • Good judgement on spotting issues and knowing when to escalate those issues.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills with attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Workday, TDX or similar HR management systems.  Ability to handle confidential information.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft – Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across teams and departments.
  • Experience in operational tasks, recruiting, and onboarding preferred.

Work Environment:

This role involves employee-facing responsibilities, occasional event coordination, and a mix of operational tasks.  Flexibility and adaptability are crucial in managing multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.  The schedule required for this role is Wednesday-Sunday in support of ski resort operational needs.
