Position Summary

The Houseman is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, organization, and overall appearance of guest room floors, public areas, and designated housekeeping spaces throughout Primm Valley Casino Resorts. This position provides essential support to Guest Room Attendants and the Housekeeping Department by delivering supplies, removing soiled linens and trash, replenishing housekeeping closets, and responding to guest requests.

The Houseman plays an important role in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment while providing exceptional service to both guests and team members.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness and presentation standards throughout guest room hallways, elevators, stairwells, linen closets, and assigned public areas.
• Deliver clean linens, towels, guest amenities, rollaway beds, cribs, and other requested items to guestrooms and designated locations in a timely manner.
• Collect and remove soiled linens, trash, and debris from guest floors and housekeeping work areas.
• Stock, organize, and replenish linen closets, housekeeping supply closets, and service areas.
• Assist Guest Room Attendants with the preparation and service of guestrooms, including guest arrivals and departures.
• Vacuum carpets and perform assigned cleaning duties, including cleaning walls, baseboards, windows, doors, and other designated areas.
• Transport housekeeping equipment, supplies, linens, and other materials throughout the property safely and efficiently.
• Maintain housekeeping carts, equipment, and storage areas in a clean and organized condition.
• Respond to guest requests promptly, courteously, and professionally, escalating concerns to the appropriate supervisor when necessary.
• Report maintenance concerns, safety hazards, damaged equipment, and other property issues to the appropriate department or supervisor.
• Properly handle and report lost and found items in accordance with company procedures.
• Follow established cleaning procedures and properly use cleaning chemicals, equipment, and personal protective equipment.
• Assist with special cleaning projects, deep cleaning assignments, room turns, and other housekeeping duties as directed.
• Maintain a professional appearance and positive attitude while interacting with guests, team members, and other departments.
• Follow all company policies, departmental procedures, safety standards, and applicable gaming and regulatory requirements.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous housekeeping, janitorial, hotel, casino, resort, or hospitality experience preferred but not required.
• Ability to work independently and effectively as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Dependable, punctual, and committed to maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays, evenings, and varying shifts as required by business needs.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Ability to frequently bend, stoop, kneel, reach, push, pull, and climb stairs.
• Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to push and pull housekeeping carts and equipment.
• Ability to safely operate housekeeping equipment, cleaning tools, and related materials.
• Ability to work in areas with varying temperatures, noise levels, and environmental conditions.
• Must be able to perform the essential physical functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.

• May work around gaming and casino operations and must comply with applicable company, gaming, health, and safety regulations.
• Schedule may include weekends, holidays, evenings, overnight shifts, and other hours based on business needs.
