Plays an important role in creating a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff. Performs a variety of environmental services duties while maintaining cleanliness and sanitation in accordance with established safety and quality standards. Type of Opportunity: Full time Job Exempt: No Job is based: Plains Regional Medical Center Work Shift: Varied Days and Hours (United States of America)Responsibilities:
• Maintains all areas according to departmental standards.
• Ensures proper infection control procedures when processing linen, trash, medical waste, and performing cleaning tasks.
• Demonstrates awareness and understanding of the PI Program, Excellence in Action, Competencies, and the Mission & Vision of PRMC.
• Maintains and uses housekeeping equipment properly and safely.
• Reports pertinent information to the supervisor or appropriate authority.
• Performs departmental record keeping.
• Performs all duties necessary to ensure appropriate linen and supply levels.
• Performs floor care.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma and/or GED.
Less than one year experience in institutional housekeeping
