Job Description:
Major Job Functions:
- Safety conscious team player with excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills with a high attention to detail
- Troubleshoot, maintain and perform equipment repairs
- Interface with customers, products and sales support
- Working with the Supervisor on various tasks
- Providing support with reference to on-site safety requirements
- Maintain Finning Customer Service Commitment
- Various related duties as required
Qualifications:
- Journeyperson Heavy Equipment Technician Certification
- Experience as a Heavy Duty Mechanic with a strong knowledge on Caterpillar mining equipment
- 3rd or 4th year Heavy Duty Mechanic apprentices may be considered based on experience
Important Detail:
- This shop position is on a 14x14 or 7x7 shift rotation based out of our Fort McKay facility
- A condition of employment is the ability to be fit tested and the ability to wear a respirator
Union Membership:
- You are required to become a member of the Union associated with this position. This will be effective immediately and will result in union dues being deducted
- Any future shift changes that may occur will be made in accordance with the terms and conditions of the Collective Agreement.
- Candidate selection will be in compliance with the terms of the current collective agreement
