About this Head of Warehouse Projects role at Rohlik
About Rohlik Group
Founded in 2014 in the Czech Republic, Rohlik Group is Europe’s leader in online grocery delivery across Central Europe. Currently operating in the Czech Republic (Rohlik.cz), Hungary (Kifli.hu), Austria (Gurkerl.at), and Germany (Knuspr.de), we continue to expand into new markets.
By owning our end-to-end operations—including all proprietary technology in-house—Rohlik delivers a superior customer experience featuring the freshest food from local farmers and artisans alongside a broad supermarket selection.
Why This Role Is Exciting
Direct Business Impact: You will not just be managing projects; you will be building the physical backbone of Europe’s fastest-growing e-grocery unicorn. Every automated site you deliver directly drives our operational speed, customer satisfaction, and overall market dominance.
Autonomy & Strategic Freedom: You get to own large-scale CapEx projects end-to-end. We offer a high-trust, low-bureaucracy environment where you have the autonomy to move fast, challenge traditional engineering norms, and execute your vision.
At the Forefront of Tech & Automation: You will work directly with state-of-the-art intralogistics, robotics, and proprietary automated systems. This is a unique opportunity to design and implement next-generation fulfillment centers that redefine online grocery delivery.
High Visibility Across Europe: As a pivotal Group leader, you will collaborate directly with executive stakeholders and cross-functional directors, making your work central to Rohlik’s international expansion strategy.
Role Overview
As Head of Warehouse Projects, you will own the end-to-end design, planning, and execution of automation and intralogistics projects across our European fulfillment centers. Leading the FC Implementation team, you will establish project management excellence, ensure the seamless integration of advanced warehouse technologies, and drive the scalable delivery of automated sites.
In this high-impact Group role, you will partner with cross-functional leadership across Engineering, Procurement, and Operations to align requirements, mitigate risks, and execute successful handovers to local operational teams.
What we expect from you
Project Execution & Ownership: Drive the end-to-end delivery of complex warehouse automation and intralogistics projects, guaranteeing execution accuracy, scalability, and on-time handovers to local operations.
Team Leadership & Frameworks: Lead and mentor the FC Implementation team while establishing a structured, best-in-class project and program management framework across all site implementations.
Cross-Functional Partnering: Collaborate closely with Engineering, Automation, Procurement, Facility, and Operations teams to align project requirements, integrate technologies, and manage multi-country stakeholders.
Strategic Input: Contribute technical expertise to automation roadmaps, business cases, and long-term CapEx investment strategies for warehouse projects.
Knowledge Transfer & Handover: Ensure seamless transition to local site teams through structured onboarding, technical documentation, operational training, and clear responsibility matrices for ongoing maintenance.
Technical Subject Matter Expertise: Serve as the internal authority for engineering, material handling, and automation topics, challenging expert opinions and driving technical problem-solving.
What we look for
Experience: Minimum of 5 years managing large-scale CapEx projects within warehouse automation, material handling systems, or manufacturing environments.
Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related technical field.
