With multiple awards to our name, Larian Studios has proven that we’re dedicated to delivering high-quality role-playing games As we move on to new projects, the studio that brought you Baldur’s Gate 3 & Divinity: Original Sin 2 is looking for a Head of Studio to lead the Dublin team and help us in crafting the high calibre games our fans have come to expect.
Responsibilities
Day to day Operational Management of the Dublin studio, including project and budget management
Provide HR support and consultation to the Dublin studio team
Daily supervision and leadership of team members alongside project managers
Mentorship and coaching of people, supporting recruitment, overseeing new employee on-boarding and career development
Closely cooperate and communicate transparently with, Larian’s Directors, company headquarters, and other Studio Heads
Ensure Dublin team harmony, team resilience and foster a vibrant, fun, productive studio work environment
Be a strong advocate of the Larian culture and live by Larian’s values
Be the face of the studio, speaking at conferences and promoting the studio
Work with local colleges and course providers to run Internship programmes based on studio/team requirements
Liaise with local authorities to ensure the studio is always in line with local laws and regulations.
Work with local authorities and governments to develop strategies to improve the gaming sector in Ireland. Be the voice of Larian at a local level to ensure government strategies align with Larian’s vision.
Work with authorities and governments to successfully claim any tax credits available to Larian (R&D, DGTC)
Requirements
Proven experience working in a Leadership role in the Games Industry or a similar creative industry, working with multidisciplinary teams
Project Management, Coaching \ Mentorship or Project Delivery experience
Experience working with international teams, and a track record of developing effective working relationships internally and externally
Understanding of Game or Product development life cycles
Player and People-focused
Demonstrate sound judgment consistently, and take ownership of decisions within your area of responsibility
Comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and capable of adapting to changing priorities
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
