About the Role.

We are looking for a compassionate and motivated Harm Reduction Worker to join our team at New Vision Bradford.

As part of our service delivery team, you'll work with people accessing drug and alcohol support, helping to reduce harm and ensure they can access appropriate advice, interventions and wider support.

You'll take a person-centred and non-judgemental approach, building positive relationships with the people accessing our service and helping to remove barriers that may prevent them from getting the support they need.

Working alongside the Harm Reduction Lead, colleagues across New Vision Bradford and the wider service, you'll contribute to the delivery of high-quality, evidence-based support that reflects the individual needs of the people we work with.

What You’ll Do:

As a Harm Reduction Worker, you'll support the delivery of harm reduction services within New Vision Bradford.

You'll work directly with people accessing the service, providing practical, compassionate and person-centred support while helping individuals understand and reduce the potential harms associated with drug and alcohol use.

You'll also work collaboratively with colleagues across the service to help ensure people receive appropriate and coordinated support based on their individual circumstances and needs.

A key part of the role will be creating an environment where people feel respected, listened to and able to access support without judgement.

To Succeed in This Role, You’ll Need:

We're looking for someone who is passionate about supporting people affected by drug and alcohol use and who shares Waythrough's commitment to delivering high-quality, person-centred services.

You'll need:

  • A compassionate, respectful and non-judgemental approach.
  • The ability to build positive and professional relationships with people accessing our services.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to work effectively as part of a wider service delivery team.
  • A person-centred approach and a commitment to treating people with dignity and respect.
  • Good organisational skills and the ability to manage your responsibilities effectively.
  • A genuine interest in harm reduction and supporting people affected by drug and alcohol use.
  • A commitment to providing high-quality, evidence-based support.

What We Offer:

At Waythrough, you'll be part of an organisation committed to breaking down the barriers that prevent people from getting the support they need to live a life they value.

You'll work alongside colleagues across New Vision Bradford, helping us provide accessible and effective support to people affected by drug and alcohol use.

At Waythrough, our values guide how we work every day: Kindness, Courage and Respect.

If you're compassionate, motivated and passionate about harm reduction and helping people make positive changes in their lives, we'd love to hear from you.
